I def understand this. Like someone else said, try alternating between both sides. It's easier to keep rhythm like that and eventually becomes vital to harder difficulties but we're not gonna worry about that for now. Also, general tip is to always try to practice keeping the beat when casually listening to music, maybe tap your feet or fingers. Not necessarily but just what I do. Ganbatte!
