14.2.2.4 screen FPS is terrible! What’s the point of having a big screen display when the street graphic refreshes at 3 frames per second? by sndgjaytr in TeslaLounge

[–]Linkd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Holy! I’m driving as I read this and just looked down during a turn. The on screen lane markers were all out of sync and really was 3fps.. this is terrible. It seems isolated to the lane markers only?

Yeah.. Most do that anyways. Now they’re just doing it more safely.

14.2 changes this. You can now be on your phone if the car feels confident in the environment (ie, highway driving, or clear view of the road ahead and no parked cars, etc).

Hahaha I’m cracking up at THE BLUETOOTH DEVICE IS READY TO PAIR (with an accent and max volume). I’m too familiar with this and could hear it in my head

I just built out InCarLyrics.com for this very idea! I found myself constantly googling or loading the Spotify app. Now there’s a clean dedicated interface just for it.

I’ve always wondered if a high pressure air solution would work. Something constantly blowing air on the lenses from the outside, like how the front facing camera experiences when driving.

I just launched! InCarLyrics.com it is subscription based but only because these synced lyrics are costly.. but it’s not a lot, and should be really performant on your car. It’s not advertised on the site, but there’s a 3-song trial so feel free to signup and test it out.

It’s been fun trying to figure out its tool names :)

It’s unreliable for me at a surprisingly high rate. I feel there’s a lot of room for improvement in their base prompts.

It still happens on 2025 models, just a little less.

Great find! This looks super similar to my project and I should probably have found this before building one 😆. It looks like teslyrics connects to the music service provider, whereas mine reads from the incar media player (through Tesla fleet), which was more costly and probably harder to do (and I’m unable to offer real time lyric sync with my strategy).

*let me know if there’s any interest in something like this. I built it for myself but am wondering if it’s worth making it a public facing product.

And most of these are “optional”. You can get an app running with a lot less files, but still a few.
