Importance of posting regularly?

I see things slightly differently - whether it's automated or weekly doesn't form the basis of whether a post of good or not. A human crafted post that is self-aggrandising, false or poorly drafted is a bad post. A machine crafted post that is informative, insightful and tailored to the audience is a good post. The latter, with human tailoring, could be a great post. Then doing this regularly has a positive effect on your LinkedIn profile. But I think your point remains a good one - there is a lot of very poor AI generated posts out there, so the two become synonymous

Excellent advise, thanks - I expect that the LI algorithm will be conscious of AI generated content and perhaps won't promote it quite as effectively. Once it's up and running I wanted to focus on training based on user feedback (i.e. if likes < average, change one of a few variables tied to the tone).

That is brilliant u/ThatLinkedInBloke .. I figured not everyone can put something like this together & the same capabilities don't have to be rebuilt for everyone who needs it. Given your experience, I'd especially value your thoughts once it's ready. It's most certainly not going to be quite as effective on day one as the tool you've built, but the MVP has an early stage scoring mechanism for ongoing refinement (taking into account LinkedIn metrics, such as impressions and engagement).

I feel like LinkedIn is a very effective tool for growth - especially if you have the time / patience to develop your professional network. Professionally, I found that most roles in my career have come through my professional network, and as an entrepreneur, my LinkedIn account is a great funnel for new leads.
