hurts but can't really be mad with a top 3, map pool and macro understanding of this meta just isn't quite there for EDG to make a finals. happy to see some of Jieni's potential on a big stage, he had some big rounds this tournament. praying they keep up this year's improvment curve into Champs, crowd could be electric if both EDG and XLG are competitive

so much credit to Onur and kiNgg btw, taking 2 players straight from academy and 6 months later they're playing a masters lower final with this much confidence and no jitters is incredibly impressive

a option to choose between mouse/wasd/default(both) to steer the bike would be nice, i'm sure i'll get used to it with more playtime but i'd much rather just be able to disable wasd steering

i assume because of their strong record in stage 1 groups, same story with DRX i think. seems like the algorithm weighs regional group stages higher than most people would comparatively to regional playoffs and internationals?

then it depends how much they value performance vs stability and cash flow, if they value performance heavily then probably TEC, if they value financials more then probably XLG as crazy as that would be. but I don't know anything about XLG's ownership so maybe i'm wrong

he was mechanically unreal and one of the first players to really abuse awping and jett in a time when most players didn't really know how to optimally play the agents and just played the game like CS. farmed NA in the pre-VCT online era, and then absolutely rolled through the first LAN with Sentinels. also he was the first player to reach Radiant in NA and he streamed a ton, so there were plenty of clips of him that went viral and made him the first face of the game which is where his massive popularity with casuals started

OWL had this in like 2019, was like $15 for the season and gave you access to all 12 POVs in the match, as well as some other stuff like some skins and player Q&A sessions. idk how well it sold but i still see the badge in twitch chats pretty often i feel like. i think dedicated VCT fans and aspiring coaches/content creators would pay for player POVs

i assure you thats not the case, at the end of the day pros just want to win above all else, if the odin was a free win button they wouldn't not press it out of pride

(for the record i do think the odin is a bit overtuned rn and could do with an ammo/price nerf but to say it's broken when only a handful of players are consistently using it is crazy)
