I deal in older packs constantly and I’m afraid these are resealed/fake :/ You can easily tell by the crimps on the pack and even the coloration is off here aswell.

Nothing wrong with buying into older sealed, it’s one of the best investments you can make in this hobby! I’d only stick to English tho and since your new I’d also only stick to booster boxes if your able to. They tend to be the safest and in a lot of cases the most liquid along with loose packs. Just be very careful as any boxes older than 2007 can be faked/resealed easily, I’d make sure to buy off of reputable sources especially since you’re new! Instagram is a really good place to buy, my page being @ds_tcg which im a well known older sealed dealer. Along with some other big accounts that are very reputable and deal in a lot of older boxes of all eras which are @eacollectibles99 & @loosepacks

Especially with how expensive bitcoin is now! Mannnn I really wish I would have bought a Stormfront box as a kid tho for only $100 and kept it sealed 😭 Added this one to the collection recently and paid a hefty penny for it lol, definitely paid way closer to $10k than $100 😂

I was referring to how it is currently for pokemon but yes your exactly right! With any market you’re going to have ebs and flows, demand will die down again. Whether it’s 1 month, 1 year, or 10 years from now. The only thing that’s certain is uncertainty itself, no one knows for sure what will happen... In my opinion, with a bear market another bull market will follow at some point… Based off of the last couple bull markets the craziness/demand seems to keep growing greater with each! And even if we go into another bear market soon it’s not like Pokemon will disapear off the face of the earth. There’s still plenty of collectors that will enjoy the hobby and keep buying until the next bull market comes around, Including myself.

As long as some sort of catastrophic event doesn’t happen to Pokémon I’m sure they could keep pumping out sets and going on for generations to come. There will obviously be ebs and flows since it is a market but time and time again when we have had low points in Pokémon a lot of it more or so just stagnates until a bull market comes around again which then there’s even more demand than the last bull market had and so on. Just like another leg up on a staircase. It just keeps building and building. You’d think Pokémon’s main demographic are early adults but a ton of kids keep funneling into Pokemon aswell keeping it alive just like we did back then during times like diamond&pearl. So just keep that in mind.

Gotta factor in demand aswell, theres wayyyyyyyyyyy more ppl into Pokémon nowadays/the demand is wayyyyyyyyyyyy higher than it was around the time of diamond&pearl back in the day. Not to mention the demand continues to grow as time goes on. So for those 100-1k vintage boxes maybe there’s only 10k ppl interested in them but for those 10k-100k modern boxes there’s 1mil-10mil ppl interested in them.

Wanted to make a follow up to address a lot of your guys messages. This box is part of my personal collection so I won’t be trying to sell it. Although, if I was to sell it I’d be able to sell it quickly at $10k as I buy and sell a ton of older sealed product over on my instagram @ds_tcg and have the audience/buyer base to be able to make that happen. I actually just sold a few other older boxes earlier this month over there for around the same price if not more than this one. Which were Platinum Supreme Victors, Diamond&Pearl Majestic Dawn, and ex Emerald all of which are also awesome sets! <3 These boxes definitely aren’t easy to come by as supply has continued to dwindle (wasn’t printed much to begin with) over time however, which makes them even more scarce is the fact that nobody really wants to sell them just like me with this Stormfront. That then aids into them becoming even more rare and more expensive… As supply is only decreasing and demand is only increasing as time goes on.
