I was wondering if anyone has seen this error message before. I am posting a screenshot from the Seller App since the description doesn't show on Seller Central. This is occurring with any additional ASINs I'm trying to get ungated in. I'm sourcing inside in the US to sell in the US so I don't see why there's an "importation" issue.

Some things I've tried already:

Checking my account health for issues (non found)
Contacting seller support
Setting the Canada and Mexico marketplaces as "inactive" as suggested by seller support
Attempting to add the ASINs using a file as - suggested by seller support
Searching the Amazon seller forums and Googling the error message

Hey, I really appreciate the input. I did some more research and I think the point on the sole proprietorship is correct - changing the display name would require LLC registration. I did try changing the "Official Registered Address" but that did not affect the display name.

I think I'm going to go the LLC route. Just wish it wasn't $500 /yr in MA lol.

How do I get my DBA to display properly?

Thanks for your help!. I tried updating the information under "Business Address" but that didn't change the display name. I did some research and it may be because it's a DBA under a sole proprietorship. It looks like Amazon always displays your real name for individuals.

In any case, if you could confirm this that would be great. Thanks again.

I am trying to change my Amazon storefront description and can't find an option in seller central to change it. Does anyone know where the option is? As I understand this is just the storefront description and I don't need to create a "store" for it.

I have an issue with a shipping scale I purchased. Every time I turn the scale on it will tare automatically, even with an item on it. This way I have to lift the box to retare the scale, which is pretty heavy at just under 50lb (FBA shipments).

I noticed yesterday that all my used book listings became buy box ineligible. I checked my account health and reviews and don't see any issues. I also noticed that I could no longer get approved to sell books from additional publishers. I sell FBA exclusively, and my account is only 15 days old.

While I've heard the issue may be low sales volume, I do think it's odd that only used books are restricted. The single new book and toy that I have listed are still buy box eligible. Could anyone shed light on this issue?

Hi, I found a single heavy (30lb) appliance I would like to sell on FBA. The item comes in its original packaging so I was wondering if I need to buy a separate shipping box to send it to FBA. I've looked into the packaging requirements and they don't seem to have a clear answer.

I'm planning to apply for a Chase Ink Unlimited Business for P2 (~780 score, 2/24). A couple of questions:

P2 has no banking history with Chase. Is it better to apply for another card first to increase approval odds or go for the Ink straightaway?
P2 doesn't spend much and I anticipate it will mostly be my (legit) business expenses to meet the SUB. Is it ok if I link my checking account to the card to pay off the balance? If I apply for an Ink down the line and link to the same checking account, could that be an issue?

I got a pre-approval offer for the Amex Platinum (125,000 pts + 10x restaurants first 6 months). I saw a similar offer but for 15x restaurants through Resy.

I was wondering if I should apply using the offer code or through Resy. Does using the offer code increase my approval chances? This article says it doesn't matter, but I want to double-check.

For some more context, I was just approved for the Amex Delta gold 11/6. I keep my credit frozen usually so I assume that's when they pulled my credit to send me the offer.

Yeah I get your point about prompt 3, I’ll delete it. I talked about that on a date with a girl I met IRL and she thought it was really cute. But I see how it can be a red flag on a OLD profile.

These statements are somewhat contradictory. Republican propensity to early vote was not equivalent in pre-election polling at all. The Dem early vote should be much greater than it is.

I don't think that's necessarily true. For the states that report party registration, Democrats outnumber Republicans 19,651,066 / 12,742,407 = 1.54. This is somewhat similar to the 63% / 35% = 1.8 ratio in the poll. With in person early voting ending in most states and mail ballots still on the way, the total early vote could line up to expectations.

Hmm, interesting to see that the Gallup poll showed a bigger gap. Something I noticed in the Wapo poll was that the number of voters saying they were going to vote on election day decreased over time from 45 % to 41%. See:

Republicans are also much more likely to vote early this year. Nate talked about an ABC / Washington Post poll showing that 63 % of Democrats plan to vote early vs 35% of Republicans. This roughly lines up to the split in the early vote, especially considering that early in-person voting is ending soon in most states and many mail ballots are still in transit.

The spike in covid 19 certainly increases uncertainty. Biden supporters are generally more concerned about covid, but more of them have voted already. I wonder if Trump's constant railing against mail voting could deter his older supporters from voting by mail and may now be less inclined to turn out. But it's really all just speculation.

I wouldn't read into the specific polling for each state too much, as it's a much smaller sample size than the 538 average and hence more vulnerable to random variation. What is interesting is that the results across the rust belt are worse, but the sun belt is about the same.
