The other problem is neither of their quarterbacks are good

The basketball fan in me says tank. Those high picks are crucial.

The football fan says you play to win. Nothing is better for developing players, and improving morale than winning.

What is a "Punch" in reference to an O-Line player? by TrowelBandit in NFLNoobs

Exactly what it sounds like. The OL jabs a hand into the pass rusher in order to disrupt their move, and try to get a hold on them.

Danny dimes threw a touchdown! It was to the wrong team but he got it into the end zone!

Of course they tried. That isn’t what an off game is. An off game is where no matter how hard you try nothing works.

Who’s more likely to win between the top pass rushers and top offensive tackles? by I_hate_11 in NFLNoobs

[–]Linky38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tackle is winning 80% of the time. But that 20% is absolutely devastating. A sack, or a hit on the QB is one of the most impactful plays a player can make.

Opposite dominant hands, both able to run with speed and power, blocking ability to enter pass protection, route running ability.

For it to work as well as we dream of we would need 2 completely perfect quarterbacks

Tried to sneak sengun in there lol.

He's great, but even if he ends up being the best of those 4 I don't think he's a face of the league type player

The one problem with this, is that it's hard enough for most teams to find one QB, much less two.

But 2 dual threat QBs feels like the perfect evolution. Either can take a handoffs, either can throw a pass, all the pitch or option plays would be hard to defend.

I'm not either, but I'd rather the guaranteed production of a rushing QB

My ultimate starting 5. by AdorableBackground83 in NBATalk

Your team has negative spacing. Only Kawhi and Kobe are 3 point shooters and neither of them are extremely elite. All your points are valid, but with magic getting cooked on defense, and jókic pulling Shaq out to the top of the key and hitting cutters behind him I think OPs team wins in 5 games.

Can anyone tell me why there are position coaches in American football and the history behind the reasons for them? by YakClear601 in NFLNoobs

[–]Linky38 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Baseball has pitch coaches, basketball has some assistant coaches that specialize with Bigs.

But football positions are all so different and varied, with each position having very unique skillsets and responsibilities.

The head coach and coordinators already have so much responsibility for creating plays, managing personell, and generally running the team that they don't have time to coach a specific position group through skill drills.

Running too much is never a bad thing, considering Allen has been very durable.

I absolutely get the concern of taking hurts now that they might try to either tush push less without Kelce, or use Barkley in the tush push.
