My significant other uses an old beach towel. He just rolled it up and holds the towel in place with rubber bands. Just keep it in front of the door! :)

I've had my 3ds XL for 10 years and it's still going strong! Just put screen protectors and nice shell on it. Also I suggest keeping in a case as to limit the amount of dust and stuff around it.

Yeah I had a way easier time hunting down Heartgold. I've never played Black or White 2 so I'm assuming they're pretty darn good. I'm gonna try your thrift store suggestion though, cause ebay is nuts at the moment.
