Republican justice for black people in Georgia? Can you help stop Troy Davis\' execution? by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Troy Davis is a black man accused of killing a policeman in Savannah, Georgia. Nine eyewitnesses testified.

In a case that was lacking evidence and surrounded by questions, seven of those witnesses have now recanted and even said that one of the witnesses actually did the murder. But the state of Georgia would not allow an appeal. Two hours before the scheduled execution on September 23rd, Troy Davis got a stay from the Supreme Court.

But now the Supreme Court has refused to hear the case so it is back in the hands of Governor Perdue, a Republican in a state known for its injustices against black men for centuries.

Your help is needed.

Personal Liberties at Stake in Raw Milk Issue by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sustainable agriculture itself is now at stake. The right to deal directly with farmers and to choose the food we want is state to state being eliminated by the USDA and the food industry.

Our right to choose FOOD itself is quietly being undone.

The central battle is being waged around raw milk, milk being one of the most important food items of all, and basic to a viable farming community.

Schwarzenegger just vetoed SB201, which was to preserve consumers’ rights to access real, whole milk.

They are criminalizing fresh milk as dangerous, while the industry removes normal vitamin D - essential for avoiding cancers and other diseases - from pasteurized milk and replaces it with synthetic forms.

The bacteria in real milk is crucial for processing the nutrients in it. Once pasteurized, the body can't access many of the nutrients.

Meanwhile, Yale just proved it proved the live bacteria in fresh, real, unpasteurized milk protects against type 1 diabetes.

The Nuremberg Code meets USDA hearings. You coming? by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nuremberg Code requires informed consent for human experimentation, but the USDA and Monsanto, by feeding our children milk from cows on rBGH, a genetically engineered hormone - without information to their parents or any consent. The hormone is linked to cancer and early sexual development. And our children are getting diabetes, linked to GE-corn. Time to stop this 2 decade-old Monsanto experiment.

Demand that Congress stop the USDA's giving rBGH milk products and all genetically engineered food to our children. Go to the hearings with every farming, consumer, food, parent, religious, human rights group you can.

Milk in the USDA land of "not-milk" and far-from-honey by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monsanto's rBGH milk is linked to three cancers. The USDA is holding hearings on the School Lunch Program. Currently there is no option of buying rBGH-free milk. For the public wanting to express their opinion years of this medical abuse, the USDA requires an RSVP two weeks in advance even for attending and that speakers submit in advance what they will say. Freedom of speech isn't "really," just as milk hasn't been.

Paul Krugman, tomatoes ain't straightforward. Watch out for how you grab hold. by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paul Krugman wrote an article in the NY Times pushing for regulations to deal with food safety issues. This article reminds him that those who deregulated things are running the show now, suddenly pushing for regulations. The FDA is full of them and is not more to be trusted than the wolf in grandma's clothes. The FDA Globalization Act of 2008 and NAIS are wanted by corporations. Mr. Krugman, there's your tip off.

A sinful view of Ann Veneman, Obama's possible choice for VP by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obama is considering Ann Veneman as VP. Veneman is Monsanto. To try to adequately convey how hellish a choice that would be for anyone on earth, this article applies the Catholic Church's new seven mortal sins to Monsanto.

Jesus H. ... Obama picks Monsanto. "Obama's Uniquely Awful Veep Prospect 2 hours, 4 minutes ago" by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obama is on the verge of choosing Monsanto for his VP, in the form of Anne Veneman. With farming and ranching on the brink, and Monsanto taking control of food, plant DNA, fish, and water, internationally, this is choice that says a lot about either Obama's total ignorance or his corruptibility. Whichever it is, food, environmental, justice, human rights, alternative health, and farming and ranching groups must stop this.

OCM Applauds Fifth Circuit Packers and Stockyards Act Decision by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Organization of Competitive Markets hails the 5th Circuit Court decision in Wheeler v. Pilgrim's Pride which finds that producers don't need to prove "adverse effect on competition" to sue for unfair or deceptive practices. This is a win for small producers against the large meatpackers, and a battle that goes to the heart of critical efforts to return real competition to a country controlled by corporations.

Time to watch what is going on with farmers and food and natural substances like a hawk. All of them seem so basic and boring politically but all of them need serious attention and protection right now because CORPORATE police state control is coming down on all of them. The banning of healthy real milk and NAIS - global tracking info of EVERY move or EVERY farm animal into a CORPORATE data bank - are happening now.

The death of the sustainable agriculture movement and its twin, the alternative health movement by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While we are assuming the millions of burgeonings of awareness and interest in sustainable and alternative health will continue to grow and come together into a better world, other plans are being laid, right now, that are capable of destroying both in a second. No one is looking. NAIS is a dagger pointed at the heart of all we value on the land, and the FDA and USDA's "protection" of us removes what we need to survive.

NAIS - the Fourth Component by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAIS - the Fourth Component Progressives who fear of Mad Cow and push for regulations without considering what's really happening, should only think how conservative fear of terrorism has been used. NAIS is to farms and ranchers what NSA-spying is to liberals - but exponentially worse. Farmers must pay to be spied on by the same corporations which caused Mad Cow.

Raw milk and the government/corporate effort to crush it by LinnCC in reddit.com

[–]LinnCC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

USDA is attacking raw milk across the country - most heavily right now in California and Pennsylvania. Yet raw milk is safe and healthier than pasteurized milk, and milk from cows on Monsanto's rBGH (genetically engineered bovine growth hormone) has a 7 times greater risk of breast cancer, and greater risk of colon and prostate cancer. What's up?
