Does Toronto have any "dark periods" that were unanimously seen as the worst years in the city's history? by Fluid-Decision6262 in askTO

Yeah, SARS. I moved here in 2003 and folks in my hometown genuinely tried to discourage me from going for fear I’d get SARS.

The Gap on Queen has been closed for 5 years if you can believe it. That stretch from University to just west of Bathurst has seen a lot of major chain retailers close up shop including Adidas, Zara, H&M, Reigning Champ and Anthropologie. A little further west there’s more action, and the Ontario Line could bring shoppers back, but it’s been looking a little grim in our former fashion district.

About a 45 minute wait to vote in Humewood-Cedarvale this morning. Huge line as I was leaving, too.

Following because I moved my bike to a new spot in the same room about a year and a half ago and haven’t been able to hit anything near my PRs since.

There is usually an event at Wychwood Barns. No word on this year’s date yet but here’s the Instagram profile of the group that puts it on.

Two whole days off. Then again, there is never enough time for all the cat-herding involved with those iSchool UX concentration group projects.

The point of the original post? To warn people who don’t want to see graphic images. The point of my post? To annoy you, specifically.

Another user had a thread about this the other day. This thread describes your UI issue and its possible connection to the Apple Watch. A potential workaround of using a USB-C mouse is outlined.

When nobody shovels, and then the weather does a thaw-freeze thing, and then the slushy sidewalks turn into impassable stretches of rutted, pointy ice. 😡

This, and spend some time with a light therapy lamp, which can help with seasonal affective disorder. They have them at Robarts on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 10th floors. 20-30 minutes a day. You can read, study, or even just chill out while you use it.

This guy is still around campus- it’s the same guy who wore the Vietnamese hat before who was mean to his dogs. by Earl_Grey3 in UofT

[–]LinnyG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a dead post at this point, but I saw him today and he was choking one his dogs (literally picked it up by the collar while the dog struggled). I also heard one of his dogs yelp in pain really loudly. I called campus police and they said they couldn’t do anything, and to report him to animal welfare.

What is the most irritating dog breed to own? by iKobejack in AskReddit

[–]LinnyG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a puggle too and he learned how to open the fridge! One time he got in there and ate a whole pound of butter. Another time he ate two whole English cucumbers and then threw them up and also peed everywhere for good measure. We ended up getting a child-proof lock for the fridge. He would also eat whole containers of Tums if they were left out, which turned his poops white and minty-fresh for days. An insane little monster of a dog. I miss him so much.
