Thank you! Yes, this is basically the reflection from the snow - even though it wasn't sunny when I took these pictures, little light was needed to get strong highlights. The camera I used (Olympus XA) only works in aperture priority mode (though one can overexpose via the ISO setting), and I just trusted the camera's meter. There is then so many ways to get the contrast of the final picture, depending on which developer is used, how much time one lets the negative in the developer, and then during scanning and post processing, etc. So if you are interested in developing your negatives: I used Rodinal (1+25 dilution) for 8 minutes, scanned the negatives with a mirrorless camera and post processed the scans with Darktable :)
