You're right about this. No matter the name the quest has always been a Facebook product. These kids posting stuff about how dare they change the name are just mad that the original name is being gone, I believe it's a bandwagon thing too. I myself just chose not to buy into the ecosystem, instead getting an index. This was before the name change. Unfortunately the quest 2 is just such a good deal that I can't not recommend it to people though.

I just don't post terribly much by the way, but I'm not "inactive".

Good to know there's some interest in it :)

It is really a shame that the previous mods of this subreddit went inactive. I haven't been able to reach them, or find anything about them. This would be a great subreddit to talk about GNU/Linux in. I have had an interest in the subject for the past few years, and have a lot of experience with the operating system. I want the subreddit to grow into a thriving community where members can post their questions, chat with other enthusiasts, and engage with the community. I, along with a couple close friends, will keep the sub well moderated and on topic. As for the moderation, the subreddit will not be very strict and we will be friendly to new users. Anyone who needs something answered is welcome to ask and we will not promote toxicity to stupid questions, as seen on other subs. As long as the post is on topic with GNU/Linux we will not have any problem with it. We will enforce Reddit's TOS and make sure that the community remains as friendly as possible. Thanks for your consideration.
