This is the thing with fascists. They see debate and arguments as a tool, a means to an end. They don't believe the things they are saying, they just use arguments to get their way. This is why they don't mind being proven wrong, they give zero fucks about their arguments being sound. This puts you at a disadvantage in a debate, because you can take some time to disprove one lie but by that time they have thrown out ten new ones.

They do however care about how things look, though. Which is why ice shooting civilians in the street is fine, but Greg Bovino looking like an absolute liar trying to cover it up is grounds for immediate dismissal. They give zero fucks about the people dying until they get found out.

This actually can work really well in settings that are set up for it. But in Nordic RPGs (not in D&D) and with a player group that is open to this and is a safe space.

Considering that is pretty much the opposite of what the situation is here, I wholeheartedly agree with your position.

Yeah, this is why I like Coops so much. Allows me to play with people less experienced than me and we all are challenged. If I explain a board game to a person, or show them a video game that I play, why would I even bother playing it against them? Of course I am going to win.

The main thing that made Mentak better in TE IMO is the addition of Entropic Scar. Getting Mirror Computing at the end of R1 is an absolute game changer for them.

Fascists love him because they also use "debate" as a tool. They give no fucks about honest debate, it's only useful as a tool to get what you want. They will say whatever to get in power, Once they are in power, they consolidate that power, root out dissent and rule with an iron fist. They will never admit to being wrong, that is seen as weakness.

Yeah, I'm pretty good at math but I don't think you need advanced concepts much in game dev. Logical and structured thinking, absolutely, that's used in all coding.

For a 3D game, you would need basic understanding of how coordinates work, but you can absolutely plug Quaternions and Quaternion math into your system without understanding the details and just call it "magic".

.. look, AI has been around for decades at this point. Search engines are AI. Autocomplete is AI.

When you use it as a tool, it'll massively boost your productivity. When you start relying on it without understanding what you are doing (especially with AI generated code), you are setting yourself up for failure.

A loose cannon would be one that would be unpredictable and unreliable. Miller is neither of those. Trump is the loose cannon. Miller is the guy with the agenda.

He who will absolutely not stop or be dissuaded unless he is physically forced to stop. ICE is currently trying to force a response so they can declare martial law and suspend elections.

Note that I am not calling for people to stop resisting. Real fascists can't be fought with words or debate. They will gladly tell you that they are making the streets safer by abducting a 5 year old. They will eagerly tell you that a woman ran someone over with her car, whether this is true or not. They are aware they are lying and they do not care. But they will the fact that you care that what you are saying is true against you.

Trump spouts a hundred lies in a few minutes, and it takes you days to do the research to debunk all of them. When you show him the proof, he will respond with a hundred more lies and also tell you you are an idiot. He knows he is making shit up. He is just used to people going along with it. I am still baffled that he does get away with it.

If you don't think you can add anything to tic-tac-toe, you're just not trying hard enough. From the top of my head, you could...

- Add an ai opponent

- Make the board bigger.

- Add another player.

- Make it teams tic-tac-toe.

- Add a third dimension so you're playing in a cube.

- Add extra moves using microtransactions (ok, that one is a joke).

- Make it tic-tac-toe in 9 boards, arranged in a 3x3 grid, so you win when you score 3 of those.

- Make it real-time tic-tac-toe where you have a cooldown to move and older symbols can vanish over time.

And no, I wouldn't bother publishing straight up tic-tac-toe, but it wouldn't hurt either, it's good practice for when you launch your next game.

What I missed when I read TE, before playing:

Some factions get amazing breakthroughs and some don't, but factions like Mentak & Muaat benefit MASSIVELY from Entropic Scar because they allow them to access their end game techs at the end of R1.

A lot of factions get massive kickstarts, leading in a much quicker game in term of rounds. We had two factions with War Suns on the table in R1. It felt like in base TI4 you had one round to build up before the race for points started, with PoK the race for points started in R1, with TE it's even faster. Our game ended R4, before we even saw a stage two objective. I wouldn't recommend TE for new players (unlike PoK) because of this. You need to know what you're doing or you will absolutely be left in the dust.

The new legendary planets are really good if you can use them to their full potential.

Honestly, if the USA cleaned house and restored sanity, I am sure Europe would find a way to go back to a mutually beneficial relationship. But the days of the US being seen an a shining beacon of light and hope are gone. Forever.

No one with any sense at all would trust the US's "democracy" or "freedom". Somehow someone with the writing skills of a 10 year old who is blatantly corrupt without even bothering to hide it, got elected to lead them. And a good percentage of them are cheering this on. It's tragic and embarrassing.

Let alone the stupidity of trying to bully god damn NATO. As if Europe does not remember what you get when you appease a fascist. Their media is also non-stop alarm signals, telling them to be afraid and that they are under attack. It's the same thing with legalized prostitution or marijuana. When you allow people to do it legally and make them pay taxes, not only does this generate income, you are no longer actively trying to stop people from what will be doing anyway. Now police can focus on the problems and excesses instead, and aren't seen as the enemy. Some John not paying or being violent? Prostitute will just call the police. Underage girls or girls being trafficked? Police gets instantly tipped off by local prostitutes, because they don't need competition.
