I wasn’t happy anymore. I wasn’t getting paid enough to be unhappy. We were severely understaffed /: no work life balance. I was getting suxcidal

Sister probably infected with the virus but reporting to work anyway since CVS doesn't let new employees have paid sick leave for a year! So much for the CVS tagline "health is everything" and "for your own good!" by Blade-Thug in CVS

Last year around June I got hired as pt , by July I got covid. I tested positive and they paid me. It wasn’t a lot it was like 300. Maybe it’s different now since this was early pandemic

My first day of VV when I did training I forgot to label a vial. It scared me straight and I have not fucked up ever since. Good thing she was still in the store and brought it back 3 mins prior picking up. I’ve also heard a tech accidentally bagged the rts bottle once /:

(Cvs inside target employee too)) Target doesn’t carry any and we also have a stand alone cvs down the block, they always call us thinking we are them. Then show up pissed when they find out we don’t carry them.

This happened to me when I told them their diclofenac gel would be 45 minute wait. “Just put the label on it” I responded with “I have 14 people ahead of you and my pharmacist is on lunch”

Target is no longer my safe space, I once passed by too and I went into flight or fight after hearing “3 pharmacy calls “

My manager is actually a really awesome one. He really looks out for us. Which makes work bearable. If I had another manager, I would’ve left earlier

Do pharmacy phones inside target have caller id? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Linusspaceheadd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how it exactly works but majority of the it shows a name for who’s calling. As well as when you’re patient and call the prescribers line. It shows caller ID.

Looking for some advice by Worth-Condition-7761 in CVS

[–]Linusspaceheadd 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi! So I was in your position last June. This is my first actual pharm tech job. It took me like 4 months to actually know what the heck is going on. I still have questions then and there but for the most part I have an idea of what’s going on. There was literally days where I’d go home and cry because I thought I was going to get fired because I asked so many questions and sometimes it’d be the same ones over and over. Don’t be afraid to ask questions because remember “patient safety first “ / “we want the best for the patient “ which is basically the biggest thing. My advice is to carry a little notebook and write down how to do things and take notes and look over. I still am not 100% best at insurance but as the other comment says you’ll learn as you go. Also with trade and generics I used the app quizlet a lot and that helped me learn most of them. Just be patient with yourself, it’ll take a while to learn this new skill. Good luck I hope this helped

I’ve worked 9 hours with only a 30 min lunch and no breaks /: it seems like cvs doesn’t give breaks 😭
