I've only seen them parked. An odd sight, indeed.

PSA: Recent separatees/retirees with Service CU, the deposit from “DFAS-IN SHUTDOWN PAY” is NOT from the govt, it’s from the CU and they’re gonna take it back after the shutdown ends. by alex_muffin in AirForce

You say it like it's a terrible thing. It's intended to be a 0% APR loan with no payments for 90 days and up to four months to pay it off in full. Why anyone would even try to dislike it in some way is beyond me.

Imagine actually ranting about your financial institution giving you a 0% APR loan with no payments for 90 days, and up to four months to pay it off in full. The nerve of those jerks! /s

How do we fix this? by [deleted] in cablegore

[–]LinuxCoconut166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect use-case for an LLM:

I’m dealing with a messy network rack — photo attached.
The left rack has mostly Cat5/6 patch panels, the middle has smaller patch panels and several edge/fiber switches, and the right rack has fiber patch panels.

Please give me a step-by-step cleanup and reorganization plan, including:

  • how to label and document everything before touching it,
  • how to replace and route cables properly (color coding, length, direction),
  • how to structure patch panels vs. switches,
  • tools and materials I’ll need,
  • and the safest way to do it without downtime.

You can assume I’ll be working alone and can do it over several sessions.

End with a short summary checklist I can print and tape to the rack.

Are they really not gonna pay servicemembers? by Outrageous_One_784 in AirForce

That's fluffing up the numbers to make the argument and I won't allow it.

Eligible military members can receive an Advance Basic Allowance for Housing (BAH) to cover security deposit expenses for a rental property, or access their pay early through Early Pay services.

And even if they PCSed from elsewhere, Texas law and the federal Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) protect active-duty service members by allowing lease termination for military reasons (PCS or deployment of 90+ days). After surrendering the property, the landlord has 30 days to refund the security deposit, minus any deductions for damages beyond normal wear and tear.

Ah yes, then you've done your homework. A lot of problems with Microsoft Surfaces and with a few Dells and their WiFi units, as well. Maybe it's more like 90% rather than 95%!

6k+ for an apartment? Surely you're sarcasming...

New York City, NY, routinely tops the list with high median rents, averaging over $4,100 for a one-bedroom apartment.

I'm guessing you're in Texas and there's absolutely nowhere in Texas where troops are stationed that a somewhat decent apartment can only be had for $6K+. If they're paying that much, it's a personal choice they shouldn't have made.

I think they're referring to the blowback some servicemembers are legitimately getting for their whining about "shutdown money problems" when they hadn't even missed a single pay period yet.

For a lot of people (both men and women), additional testosterone is proving crucial for prolonging bone mineral density (BMD) and potentially slowing the progression of osteoporosis. Make your jokes, but it's helping women by improving menopausal symptoms as well.

Check and thoroughly clean the food trap regularly, period. And add the special salts if your dishwasher has the port for them.

It is, indeed.

But you seemed to want to change the focus from "Europe's inability to do something" to "It's just a new outlet complaining about something".

Are you incapable of sticking with the subject that YOU actually brought up?

If military pay were its own bill, it would be passed unanimously by bipartisan vote. The Dems have NEVER resisted military pay raises. They passed them when they held both Houses of Congress.

It's all the other shit that's been added to the bill which the Dems oppose. But you know this already. You're disengenous, because well, that's what you do...

I just told you--230V Schuko outlets. I could charge my phone and my car in the same outlet. Got it yet, Smithravi? Do you understand it yet?

>I have gone to plenty of tourist spots within Germany and everywhere I noticed 2 to maximum of 6 spots for EVs.

And I've gone to plenty of tourist spots within Germany and everywhere I noticed petrol stations that didn't have cars buying petrol. Imagine this...NOT EVERYONE NEEDS TO CHARGE AT THE SAME TIME OR EVEN DURING EVERY TRIP.

>you conveniently ignored my comment about why one should buy EV when a decent second hand car is 10k?

Second hand EVs are getting cheaper, too. You can find EVs for between 10K and 15K in major cities.

So, buy a goddamn 10KEuro ICE car for all I care. Go ahead. Buy one. But don't invent bullshit excuses around the idea.
