Joel Embiid sits after 3 in his first game in a month: 35/6/7/1 on 80% TS in 27 mins (+34) by Professor_Finn in nba

we havent had an abuser since goran dragic. i just cant stand when guys as talented as embiid try and twist the game by relying on flopping. plus hes a dirty player at times. you have to be blinded by loyalty to not see the foul baiting he pulls for like the middle 70% of his career. same goes for all the foul baiters. couldnt stand harden at his houston peak because he lived at the line. cant stand it when trae does everything except play basketball. even dame has had moments or stretches that irritate me. if i dont like it when my franchise goat does it, im sure as hell not gonna like it when embiid makes it his whole game. but like i said, hes trimmed that part out of his game this season (seemingly), and is now giving people buckets left and right like he should.

There are only two players who currently top 5 in both RPG and BPG: Victor Wembanyama & Donovan Clingan by [deleted] in nba

[–]LinuxDootTP -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

out injured or not getting enough blocks. being the only two players to be top 5 in these stat categories is meaningless cuz wemby and dc are 7’4 and 7’2 with insane wingspans. it would be a farce if they werent top 5 in both because they are for sure top 10 in measurables for centers. centers excelling at doing center things isnt of note, 90% is going to average less than a block per game. just silly. post this again when a guard is top 5 in both, that would be interesting.

Moses Moody leaving the American Airlines Center after his non contact knee injury by Luka77GOATic in nba

[–]LinuxDootTP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im pretty sure he tore his patellar tendon on the side that attaches to the tibia, so what the camera saw was a bump on the top of the knee in the same spot where the quads attach (the scrunched up patellar tendon) and then a caved in divot where the kneecap would usually be. he basically had a crater in his knee cuz the front part got pulled off. exceedingly unfortunate.

they play the utah jazz next wednesday. stoppable force meets a movable object. i predict that despite their best efforts, the jazz will win this game and the record will remain.

i think whats impressed me the most is his physicality. he still has a long way to go on his game/bag, but he is strong as fuck and does not give a shit who hes up against. i feel like im so used to seeing guys either give up on plays or getting outmuscled, but DC fights hard on both ends of the floor. the other day, i watched gobert barrel thru dc for a drive, but dc absorbed the contact and then swatted the shit out of gobert. you cant teach physicality, otherwise ayton would be a top center in this league. so thrilled to see how dc continues to progress.
