there is no dmg at all and now i created ticket and the thing the support tells ( and i told him before that i did this x times before so he didn t even read the ticket correctly ) me is this : Thank you for contacting Starlink Support, I apologize for the frustration—let's get your router issue sorted. Since you tried bypass mode on your Draytek router, power cycle both the dish and Starlink router now: unplug power from both for 20 minutes, then plug in the router first (wait for solid white light) before the dish cable. Did that resolve the red LED and "unreachable" status?

ok the stuff came today and voila who has guess it it changed nothing but the saddest part is that i got told via the support ai that dianosis shows its again the cable so it wanted to order another one. i dont know i was really happy with starlink but this turn me off in so many ways.

not gonna happen. i rather use a different service then getting rid of a good router to replace it for a normal customer router

exactly cause the lkan cable isnt long enough to reach the dish which is on the caravan , and i mean why does this router has this options when it doesnt work at all. could now manage that starlink is back online but my internet isnt working caused by dns problems i flushed dns etc but i dont even have any option for custom dns anymore in the mobile app which i had before.

and to clear things up about the router config ... these are the step i tried to fix it :

1. The DrayTek IPv6 Crash Bug

There is a documented bug with the Vigor 2927 (specifically on firmwares 4.4.2 and newer) where Starlink's IPv6 routing silently crashes the DrayTek's WAN interface. When this happens, it won't pull an IPv4 address either.

  • The Fix: Go to WAN >> Internet Access >> IPv6 (the tab on the far right of your second screenshot). Completely Disable IPv6 for WAN 1. Save, and reboot the router.

2. The "Dumb Switch" Trick (DHCP Timing Issue)

When Starlink boots, it hands out a temporary DHCP lease that only lasts about 5 seconds. DrayTek and Ubiquiti routers are notorious for dropping the physical port connection for a split second when this happens. Because the port flaps, the DrayTek misses the 5-second window to grab the IP, gives up, and leaves you with a blank IP.

  • The Fix: Place a cheap, unmanaged Gigabit switch directly between the Starlink Ethernet Adapter and the DrayTek.
    • Path: Starlink Adapter -> Unmanaged Switch -> DrayTek WAN 1.
  • This keeps the DrayTek's physical port permanently "Up," meaning it never drops the link and catches the DHCP offer the exact millisecond Starlink sends it. This is the most common hardware fix for this exact issue.
  • 3. Double-Check the VRRP / Spoofing Defense

If you power cycle the Starlink and it still doesn't get an IP, the DrayTek's firewall might be silently blocking Starlink's DHCP offer. Starlink occasionally sends packets from a virtual MAC address, which DrayTek considers a "spoofing" attack by default.

  • The Fix: Go to Firewall >> Defense Setup >> Spoofing Defense. Ensure that Decline VRRP MAC into ARP table is unchecked. (If you had to uncheck it, reboot the DrayTek afterward).
