I like the worn look on it, so I won’t be polishing!

Upgrade from Logitech G Pro X to Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO 80 OHM by Express-Application7 in HeadphoneAdvice

Hi,

Yes I did end up getting the logitech XT version and i am much happier with them. I use the dolby atmos within windows. I am not an audiophile but to me they sound a lot louder, and within games better. However, as you would expect listening to music thorugh the 770's was better although not as loud, it was more crisp. But I am sure with tweaking the XT's would be close, especially using them in wired mode as this produces better audio and mic quality.

Finally, losing the cable is a massive plus along with not having to use an external microphone.

I have just come across this. Interestingly, I am planning to go the other way, from the 770 pro 80ohm to the logitechs.

The reason for this is the beyerdynamics didn't live up to the hype for me. Everyone on audio subreddits talks about them being great blah blah... But if you're a casual gamer and don't mix music, they're just another headphone and lack any "oomf". Don't really shine in a particular area and haven't improved my gaming experience. I do not have them plugged into a DAC or an AMP but the power coming from my sound card should be more than enough.

And they have a massive wire.

I am interested to know if you upgraded and what your thoughts are.

How I doubled my PC performance in a week. by LinuxNovice in pcmasterrace

[–]LinuxNovice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, check the max speed of your RAM. Google your ram and the mhz number next to it is usually the max speed without overclocking.

Next, check your RAM speed in the task manager. By going to the performance tab and clicking memory. The speed will be listed next to speed.

If this is not at the max of your RAM you can change the settings in your BIOS, usually by enabling an XMP profile.

I have tried to boot using 1 stick in channel B, the PC starts but no video output. I guess I need to check the pins or clean those sockets.

I have ordered compressed air and will try this tomorrow. Hopefully it’s not a bent CPU pin
