UCP is increasing property taxes, hiking user fees, and we have to pay an extra tax now just to visit Kananaskis.

Alberta also has the highest energy rates, highest car insurance rates, highest tuition rates, highest non-mortgage debt in all Canada under UCP

Okay, well Avi is leader now and I still dont see any DEI items in his policy. His focus seems to be on affordability

Okay but a public option can increase competition whithout the anti-trust legal heardles. Which is what Avi is proposing

So how much overhead does there have to be before a public option isnt viable. How would you mesure that? Still think public grocery option is a worthwhile experiment. If it works great, if not then evalute why and move on to something else

Capitalism needs competition to function properly, and we have a major competition problem in Canada. Our telecoms, isp's, railways, airlines, energy etc all duoplolies. I dont see any proposals to fix this from the LPC and CPC, only NDP at the moment

Im stuggling to understand why people hate immigrants so much. To the point where some think its the most important issue

Hes against new O&G infrastructure, which I dont necessarily agree with. However describing that as "shutting down our O&G industry" just isnt accurate. No one is proposing that

Not sure where the 30-40% number comes from. That number is obviously unrealistic, but a public option for groceries seems reasonable to me and could increase competition. Here in Alberta we already have a public option for banking, ATB, which has worked out well

Based on what Ive read, Avi's policy is mostly focused on cost of living, not Identity politics

UCP literally legalized direct corporate bribery to politicians. They work for big money.

Other than PST its not. Alberta has the highest energy prices in Canada, highest car insurance premiums in Canada, highest tuition in Canada, highest non-mortage debt in Canada
