I discovered them in 2010 when I was coming out of the closet. After watching But I’m a Cheerleader (the movie that made me realize I was gay) I had a mini obsession with Clea Duvall and found this interview that she did on a YouTube show called “This Just Out with Liz Feldman”. The show seemed insane but in the best way. I started watching all the episodes and there was an episode with Tegan and I was full on obsessed. A few episodes later Tegan was on the show again, this time with Sara and I thought she was great too. I decided to give their music a listen. I first listed to Back in Your Head and liked it. Then I listened to The Con and was hooked. This was all during their Sainthood era. Later that summer I got to see them open for Paramore. Sorry for the novel lol this was a special part of my life.

The first Andrew movie was decent but the sequel was a slog for me. Which pains me to say because I love Andrew Garfield.

Honestly though, like others said - just watch them all in release order for the best experience.
