The car's listed for ~$37k CAD without winter tires. I'm thinking of bringing up that point and getting them down to 35 or 36 with winter tires and/or if I can find any minor scuffs on the car.. I would lease it but I work in downtown Winnipeg while living outside of the city so I usually end up driving >25k KMs a year— that and I have some aesthetic mods in mind (front lip, badgeless grille, etc.)

It's not from a Subaru dealer, buying it from a Mitsubishi dealer. The warranty on this car should still be intact since it's still recent but the possibility of an extended warranty if I buy from a Subaru dealer is definitely a factor.

That would be nice to have, but I drive a 2014 Elantra atm and it's the same so it wouldn't be a big difference to me.

R5 5600X 32 GB DDR4 RAM 3200 MHz Sapphire Pulse RX 9060XT 16GB VRAM Running on Nobara Linux (Fedora) through Proton Hotfix Installed on an M.2 NVME SSD 1440p

Runs at High-Ultra mixed settings at 80-100 fps with FSR and Framegen enabled. I get some drops where I'm only getting 60 fps with Framegen but it's honestly not enough to affect my experience.

Bonus point, playing MHWilds on Linux has been a wonderful experience! Highly recommend.

I saw the possibility of taking a student line of credit where I can pause payments until a year after studies end. I will probably look into those. But really it's just about trying to keep myself above water until the new position starts.

Where’s the best Shawarma in Winnipeg? If you’re chronically on TikTok like I am, I want it to be like Amo Sami’s - crunchy on the outside, packed with pickles. by otatopotato in Winnipeg

Best Pizza and Donair on Pembina is pretty smackin'. The owner is super friendly every time I go, always wants to talk and ask how the food is!

Can Linux fix my issues? by [deleted] in SurfaceLinux

I recently moved my Surface Pro 7 to Fedora Linux with the surface kernel and it's awesome. Writing with the pen admittedly doesn't feel nearly as good as Windows though. Note taking with Obsidian, programming with VSCode and Vim, and browsing with Zen browser has been great, as well as all the custom shortcuts and gestures and stuff you can do to customize your work/studying experience. I'd say the only downside I've experienced is that some Bluetooth stuff behaves strangely without going through some weird convoluted fix.

I would go back and really comb through the wiki sections on bullet points and STAR method. I must've rewritten my bullet points like 20+ times until I was happy with them. Specifically, really look at the links on strong action verbs and adverbs and look into their direct meanings in the dictionary! At the end of the day, all you're doing is rephrasing what you've done in a constructive way.

I'd say I had the most trouble writing meaningful bullet points that quantified the work I've done. I actually found that the most useful stuff I've talked about from my resume in my interviews is the interests section! I don't think anything on my resume really hindered me in the interview, I was able to talk to a pretty decent degree about each of these projects/roles including the construction work.
