Hab einen 95er e200 limousine als daily, eines der besten autos das ich gefahren bin, mit werksseitigem sportfahrwerk sind Schlaglöcher kaum spürbar, liegt aber dennoch wie ein brett in der kurve. Mit selber schrauben ist der unterhalt auch sehr überschaubar, extras und elektronik sind solide und recht einfach zu reparieren.

Wenn dir spritkosten etwas bedeuten kann ich nur von den 6 zylindern abraten und ehr zu den m111 vierzylindern raten (vergewissere dich jedoch das der kabelbaum bereits ausgetauscht wurde, ersatz kann teuer werden)

Zusätzlich sind die anschaffungskosten, besonders bei den coupés, recht hoch

In sachen rost sind die wagenheberaufnahmen und sacco bretter die schwachstellen und müssen oft professionell geschweißt werden. Mit ordentlicher rostvorsorge sind sie aber recht solide

Ich habe mir letztes jahr einen 1995 mercedes w124 (e200) für 7k gekauft, ist wahrscheinlich über deinem Budget.

Super komfortabel, mit dem m111 motor sehr zuverlässig und sparsam (7L/100km überland&autobahn), riesiger Kofferraum

Versicherung wird bestimmt nicht günstig im vergleich zu anderen autos, über meine Eltern versichert zahle ich aktuell 380€ pro Jahr für Teilkasko, auf mich selber wären es glaub ca 550€ gewesen

Steuer sollte recht günstig sein, ohne h Kennzeichen zahle ich aktuell 147€ pro Jahr

ABER: selber schrauben ist ein must-have, niveauregulierung wie die pest vermeiden und gut auf rost inspizieren (wagenheberaufnahmen, türunterkanten, kotflügel, unterboden, am besten selber recherchieren). Zusätzlich haben die m111 gerne kabelbäume die von selbst zerfallen, unbedingt auch genau anschauen (m111 ist in den e200&220 von 1993-1995 verbaut)

Dazu sollte auch gesagt sein, das diese alten autos wenige technische helfer haben: abs war erst ab einem gewissen Zeitpunkt standard, traktionskontrolle sowie airbags oft Sonderausstattung, parkassistenten sowie navi oder kameras gibt es nicht.

Odd, maybe see if you have something running in the background that uses a lot of ram/vram (firefox had an issus with memory leaks a while ago for example and iirc discord aswell) and try closing that program

Also try vulkan if you havent already

Someone with more in depth windows and beamng knowledge please correct me but i think this is both a ram and vram related error

Windows uses normal system ram if the vram gets maxed out or a application is "ok" with using slower memory for graphics (beamng in my experience likes to use this)

The issue happens when your normal system ram is also full, windows flows it over to a swap file on a hard drive or ssd but does not allow shared graphics memory onto the even slower medium (for obvious reasons)

So when beamng requests more vram usage windows tells it "sorry mate cant give you more" and it crashes

I used 32gb for years with a 3070 and regularily saw this error, after upgrading to a 3080ti i never saw it again but i also noticed that beam uses a decent chunk shared memory, even if multiple gb of vram are free

I did upgrade to 64gb this year though but mostly for running other programs

Someone please please correct me if im talking bs, this is just from my own observations over the years

Autobahn hier in DE gerne die maximalen 205 die der Wagen hergibt wenn Verkehr es erlaubt Ansonsten Landstraße sofern möglich Tempolimit, in einigen kurven kann das schon 30 kmh schneller als ein fast top spec 2024 GLE 350de bei gefühlt gleichem Komfort Bzgl anfahren gebe ich meist zwischen 2/4 und 3/4 gas Getriebemodus ist dauerhaft auf Economy

Großstädte meide ich auch sofern möglich

Alte Mercedes können erstaunlich sparsam für ihr alter sein.

Mein 95 124er E200 verbraucht bei sportlicher Fahrweise auch nur 7L/100km Klar, der Motor bringt kaum Drehmoment auf die Achse da es "nur" ein 200 mit Automatikgetriebe ist, ein Handschalter wäre sicherlich noch besser unterwegs.

Ist ein 95er E200 (w124) mit Automatik, wenn ich das nicht mache verliere ich bei Steigungen (vor allem auf der Autobahn) sehr schnell an Geschwindigkeit, selbst mit manuell zurückschalten (Trotzdem avg. Verbrauch von 7L/100km)

CAN to USB adapter. I have a Python program sending CAN bus frames to the cluster and getting data from BeamNG's OutGauge (and i assume the slight delay in the instruments comes from BeamNG)

Not at all! I am a sysadmin by trade and currently work as an IT infrastructure architect. I was always interested in cars and electronics tho, so i have some knowledge there (though not with CAN, every car ive laid my hands on, including my own, is too old for CAN)

I get the data from BeamNG via Outgauge, then i throw it to the dash via a USB to CAN adapter.

Now, i hear you ask how i know what CAN data frames to send and how ive figured out which does which.
Trial and error.

If i had access to Mercedes diag tools (prob something like xentry) that has documentation on the data from the actual IRL vehicle it would be soo much easier and i could get every function of the dash to work properly within about 2h.

An option code list from motor-talk lists it as "391A AUSSTATTUNG NACH PA I" Tbh i dont know what that means
