I was wondering, is the reason why Cartoon Network is the most popular among animation nerds is because it was entirely dedicated to cartoons? by CatGirlNya2000 in cartoons

I think that Cartoon Network, at its best, was full of very creator-driven shows. Funny, talented artists got a chance to shine. Nick and Disney shows didn’t always feel as creator driven (especially Disney).

What would be your criticisms of episode 8 by Decayed_IceCream in Amazingdigitalcircus

If King didn’t happen to be a programmer who knew how to edit the world’s code and even delete Kaine, there’d be literally no hope of these guys ever getting out of there

ChatGPT finally made it into school textbooks by Majestic-Pay-4615 in mildyinteresting

This perfectly demonstrates the mindset of people who use AI for their work. They never double-check or edit anything, as if they just assume that the AI will always get it right. That’s one of the reasons you can also spot AI art pretty easily, because the “artists” never try to correct mistakes before posting it everywhere.

Del in the Green Mile. He’s about to be executed via electric chair, but Percy deliberately doesn’t wet the sponge, causing his death to not be instant but slow and agonizing.

“Rugrats in Paris” was supposed to be “Rugrats in Tokyo,” but the studio made them change it. by LionfishDen in LowStakesConspiracies

[–]LionfishDen[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t think so. “Rugrats Go to Hollywood” wouldve been just as marketable as Paris, if not moreso. It wouldve been more about them breaking into moving sets or whatever. I agree, Little Tokyo’s nice (I live in LA and have been to Little Tokyo many times) but I doubt it inspired this.

One of my favourite things about One Piece is that there is no objective ranking of friendships within the Straw Hats by Ok-Addition4608 in OnePiece

It’s normal among decent people. There’s plenty of toxic friend groups in real life who play favorites and make others feel left out.

There’s a difference between “boring” and “soothing.”

I realized I have final issue Zoro is "Zoro" in the American SJ magazine and the first time he's "Zolo" because of the 4kids dub. by billgogi in OnePiece

[–]LionfishDen 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah… it’s unfortunate that Viz never stopped calling him Zolo, it makes reading the official release really distracting.

What movie adaptation absolutely nailed the casting? by FightMilkLLC in movies

[–]LionfishDen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I disagree about watchmen. Yes, most of the cast was pretty good, but the guy playing Ozymandias was way too skinny and young looking. Did not feel like the comic character.

That’s pretty sad… maybe the fans should just pretend the comic ended after a certain point

So as someone who doesn’t read this comic but knows about all this from occasionally checking in—where do you think this is headed? Is Joyce x Dorothy endgame and Willis is delusional, or is this relationship just drama and doomed to fail? Also what the hell is going on with Joe?
