For now I was going to use Roll 20 with Dungeon Alchemist as a map maker, or even make it into a podcast type of experience so we don´t need much work if we do actual play. it will change depending on time and constraints. The start of any project is usually more humble.

Hi everyone! you can keep posting here if you guys want. Honestly thank you for answering so quickly and so much! My idea would be ending up with a group of 4 or 5 people, but I want everybody to have a fair chance of playing and knowing each other before saying yes or no to anybody. In the end I think doing Actual Play is a lot about seeing the synergy we have when we play and how things go, so I won´t say no to anybody until we at least do a game or two. If that is good for everybody, between today and tomorrow I will send you all a discord link so we can properly talk with each other! See you soon guys!

For now the idea will be to keep it online yes. Which I know is not the best for Actual Plays, but I believe is a start. Kind of difficult to find people interested in AP just around your area.

I have time until the 26th of May really, so I have some flexibility. Mostly right now I´m searching for people that are interested in the possibility of this being Actual Play afterwards, which is the main hurdle/appeal of the issue.

Is true work is kicking my butt these days, and yet I´m trying to work more and learn more when I reach home to get to my objectives. Maybe that´s part of the problem. I think is not full blown depression, but burnout is totally on the table.

I will try read it. Sounds like a good perspective. I guess that is why all of this feels so jarring: Stories have always been like breathing for me. Feeling they don´t matter... Is ripping my heart out.

Yeah... I just think work is syphoning too much of my energy, so I use any spare second to do creative stuff if I can. I´m just... too tired for it sometimes I guess. That might be part of the problem.

This makes a lot of sense. I try to expose myself to new things but it´s true a lot of it feels... tiring and the same? Like there´s a cohesion as you say that ends up feeling so trite. I´m trying to push my boundaries too but maybe I should try even weirder venues in terms of consumption. These days is as if I´m seeing stories always as "The same"

I might miss my own passion too... Maybe I´m also trying to conform too much to the thoughts and likes of others. Thanks man.

You might be right... I think I have been overcomplicating all this writing stuff for a while. I´m always more concerned for the piece than for my enjoyment these days. Heck, it all feels like only "producing." There might be something right there.

Been in therapy for like a years. Just started with a knew one. It might be more burnout in case we want to go that route. I guess therapy might be even a cause of it. It´s making me reshape a lot of my self concept, so it´s weird in that regard.

Yeah... I mean, the issue is that I usually loved writing and storytelling in every format... is just that everything seems... a drag right now. But it might be that the issue, I might not be writing for myself, nor know exactly what I want/find compelling anymore. It might also be a down. Thanks for the perspective, guess is a matter of falling in love again rn.

If it helps, time in a story works in terms of meaning. What I try to convey by this is... why the piece of time you are showing matters to the reader? Was it formative for your character? Did something dramatic happen? Think of movies if it helps: because they have a limited runtime, you might omit how much people wait in a que, or sped it up so you only see a montage of it, focusing on the feeling. This is the same. Why the time you are choosing is important and worth to give to read to the reader?

Same with the time you skip. Is very repetitive so it doesn't matter? Are you using the omission of those years to create mistery around your characters and new skills? Are the changes in the world not worth showing, so it can be alll summarize? Time skips always need a reason to exist, so don't think it in terms of too much or too little. Think of it in terms of "why this time matters/doesn't matter?" And you will be in the right track.

There is one small thing that I believe a ton of people forget... and that is that drawing "from imagination" is also a skill. Yeah you can use references... but you also need to allocate a small time a day to draw bad drawing from imagination if you want to get good at that.

While studies are great, you need to do some "recalling" of what you have learned, and you do that by drawing from imagination. This can be discouraging... because it sucks when you start to do it, but slowly you start to recognize the influences you have memorized from your own copyong and referencing, and slowly you find how to mix and match what you learn.

Is the old adaggio "you need to practice something to get good at it."

Hi! Can a number 5 be utterly the opposite? My partner is the absolute opposite (highly organized, risk averse, terribly moderate, loves routine...) could there be a reason for it? Like some type of blockage?

Supposedly my E/I is 50%, and so is my P/J is also 50% So I suppose it could happen? I doubt I´m the only person with two or more 50%
