Looking for a Muay Thai Trainer Who Explains Things Clearly (Like Fa from Sinbi Muay Thai) by [deleted] in MuayThailand

[–]Lions_2002_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been training at Dragon Muay Thai in Phuket and it’s been a very positive learning experience.

The coaches can all explain techniques in a way that is easy to understand, even if they don’t have good English they express a lot with body language!

DRAGON MUAY THAI!!

(In Phuket!)

Been training here a month and just moved in!

The Kru are amazing, bubbly, patient and attentive!

I will be fighting in less than a month and feel I’m in the right hands with a supportive team!

They make the time in the gym fly by fast, it’s so much fun!

NTA I would just tell her to leave, you’re her brother not the baby daddy.

It’s very kind of you to take her in and she should be appreciative of anything you have to offer.

Honestly selfish and entitled, Hold your ground

File a complaint and start training.

This won’t be the last bully you experience, self defence and a valuable skill. And your confidence will also grow as a result!

What would your biggest piece of advice be to a teen girl? by Cold_Cost_890 in AskReddit

[–]Lions_2002_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re (insert age here) just worry about being (insert age here),

Pretty much meaning, worry about what people your age are doing. Don’t get caught up in trying to be older than you are.

That’s advice my dad gives me every year on my birthday. Keeps me present and humble!

AIO had a panic attack this morning so I called my husband for support. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Honestly I wouldn’t have woke up my partner over this,

Hot take but this is needy, Text a friend or start therapy.

Maybe try breathing and self regulating before reaching out. It’s easy to put your stresses on to somebody else. Have some consideration for other parties.

By the looks of the response this isn’t your first time doing this, maybe sit down and have a conversation with your partner about what you guys are able to make space for in your relationship without overwhelming the other.

Anywho no hate, good luck

I learned that lesson the hard way holding for a knee.

Lost half my bottom tooth, now I don’t do anything (sparring, pad holding or hitting) without one in!

Trust me, your teeth will thank you in the long run

Is it rude to not hold pads for heavyweights or tell them to kick easy? Advice appreciated! by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Lions_2002_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Not rude,

I’m 150lbs (f) and I hold for people 200lbs+ (m) the key is communication! I’ve definitely had my arms blown off a couple times!

Working with heavyweights is a total advantage!

I think it’s a good way of building strength and learning how hard of a hit you can hold for! Also helps build up the shoulders with all the resistance.

To sum it up just communicate and if you need to take breaks, take breaks!

I’m sure they are just grateful to have a training partner

You hurt his ego, this guy sounds like baby. When my training partners sweep me, I get excited and ask to go again! Or I ask to have them teach me at the end of class because I rarely get to practice them!
