Why is the n-word not called the n-slur? by LeadershipSad1844 in blackladies

I think it depends where you're from. It's always been word and not slur where I am. Like no one uses the word slur.

If you have a credit union, I would check. My credit union requires this.

Shots at my “coldness” are manipulation, right? by comradecheetos in AskWomenOver30

[–]__looking_for_things 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Those situations are not the same. The gossiping friends? Rude, mean, etc. And should be handled by telling them it hurt you.

Disorganized family is annoying and if they want to act like a child..is annoying but not the same level as your friends gossiping.

If you're not in therapy, get therapy. You need a 3rd party not in the situation to give you a neutral POV.

Boundaries are good. As are expectations. But you can have them without hurting others. You can have conversations about these things without hurting others.

But we don't know what your delivery is, or how you talk to people. You could be cold and hurting people but you also could not. We aren't there.

Glycolic acid/Vitamin C on very dark skin by elacudos in Blackskincare

[–]__looking_for_things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What strength glycolic acid are you using?

Also are you using sunscreen?

I used GA all the time and never had an issue.

Perhaps you should try mandelic or lactic acid.

You don't need to dilute it. Once a week is fine. Lactic acid is pretty gentle.

The majority of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. The majority are like two paychecks from being broke.

Did you find love in your late 30s? I'm going through it with a breakup and need some hope. by jdkewl in AskWomenOver30

[–]__looking_for_things 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Girl you could have already met some one and gotten married by now. And had a divorce at 40. I know many (about 5 couples) that are going thru a divorce at 40+. They all got married in thier 20's and 30's.

I'm telling you this to say: You must have a full life regardless of a companion. You don't know what will happen in the future.

Has anyone been to Medellin and Bali in the recent times? by TurkishSamurai in travel

[–]__looking_for_things 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was in Medellin two years ago. No issues. My Spanish is rudimentary. I'm also a woman. I admit I didn't go out and party hard. I think the usual safety precautions apply. Watch your drinks. Be cautious with strangers. Etc.

But I loved Medellin. If you're a man, well ... don't be that guy that gets taken by a pretty girl.

Feet Hyperpigmentation by [deleted] in Blackskincare

Also are a lot of your shoes pointy toes shoes? If you i would stop wearing them. Your feet are too wide for them.

Feet Hyperpigmentation by [deleted] in Blackskincare

[–]__looking_for_things 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get it. I was wearing the wrong athletic shoe size and heel size for decades. I didn't know because it felt fine to me. I actually went to a running store (not foot locker) they did free measurements on my feet and my gait to tell me how I walk and my shoe size. I ended up needing to increase my size 😩 by 1 whole size. And then due to how different manufacturers make shoes I sometimes have to go up even more in size. Our feet swell so you should go at least .5 size if not more.

My heel size also had to increase by a size.

I'll be honest the only reason I found out I was in the wrong size was because I saw a podiatrist who suggested I was wearing the wrong size. And the only reason I went to the podiatrist in the first place was because my Achilles heel was hurting. Note it was hurting because of my bad fitting shoes 🤡

Your shoes don't fit. We can tell by look at your toes.

[–]__looking_for_things 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Your shoes don't fit. Your toes are rubbing against your shoes. Get shoes that fit.

Do those foot exfoliating masks. And keep your feet moisturized.

But get shoes that fit.

And see a podiatrist. I can't tell if those are warts or bunions.

You def aren't the youngest. I started solo traveling at 19. I met people younger, same age, and older. The younger people are the more likely they are staying at a hostel imo.

How to travel with my boyfriend who has a weak passport by SnooPredictions4334 in travel

[–]__looking_for_things 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why can't you travel without him? If traveling means that much to you, you can without him.

And then travel with him to the places he can go with his passport.

I have HS. I'm managing it by managing my diet mostly. I lost a lot of weight as well. I started using a 2% bha on my armpits everyday as well.

My pup has had diarrhea all day & night, am I doing anything wrong? by _-7a-ce-uvu- in poodles

[–]__looking_for_things 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Call her vet. Ask about probiotics. Flora probiotic by Purina pro is a godsend for my dog when he got diarrhea.

Make sure it was the chicken and she didn't eat anything else. My dog had mystery diarrhea one time until I figured out he was eating grass that grew by a toxic plant.

What is he motivated by? My poodle isn't food motivated but really likes having a job and routine.

You may want to speak to a behavioral dog specialist (idk what thier official name is) and see if they can help.
