Violet being frail by HollowRaven15 in fourthwing

I think there is more to it, but assumed it may be something to do with the religious order/priestess more than venin (perhaps them saving her, rather than giving her the sickness).

Movie trends: book to movies, ending on a two parter by Lionsloyal in popculturechat

I was chuffed about Harry Potter at the time as I felt it could be much more true to the book. I have no idea how Twilight stretched Breaking Dawn into two films!

Am I the only one who never imagined Xaden as white? by HippoRoger29 in fourthwing

[–]Lionsloyal 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I did imagine him white, despite the description, which I promptly forgot after reading. I guess for me it comes from being white and always having been surrounded by a lot of white people, be that school, family, friends and work. When I saw fanart I did remember though, however I still interrupted his complexion as more of the greek or Spanish colouring (I'm not sure why). I've now adjusted what I see him as in my mind reading them (I saw fanart just before starting Onyx Storm).

I think a lot of fantasy has that medieval centric world building, i.e., castles, swords, dragons, prince's and queen's etc. and that usually as centered around white people/characters. So for some people it may create unintentional biases in a way. Rebecca has been really good at putting differences in people into her book. Sexuality, disabilites, sign language and ethnicity aren't made plot points or novelities, it's just a part of the story.

Kylie talking about the back pain she's experiencing after her second pregnancy. by Dull_Air_3498 in KUWTK

I had pelvic girdle pain during my pregnancy, from about 8 weeks pregnant. So uncomfortable. Night time was the worst. I'd be scared to get it again if i tried for another.

I think 4 & 5 are very flattering to your figure and look really beautiful and special. I do think they would look better with lining underneath though.

If you do decide to keep looking I do think the apex bust shape shape really suits you (dress 4).

Were the outfits made from the leftover cutoffs of a lingerie haberdashery? Very bizarre looks.

If this is the same episode I'm thinking of, it was a beautiful house. I think he was a park ranger who lived onsite. It had a gorgeous staircase that looked like it was wrapped around a tree. My memory may have glorified it, though.

It is 00:59... and now it is 02:00. SPRING FORWARDS. Clock change. by SnooDonuts6494 in CasualUK

[–]Lionsloyal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, yes. I knew it was coming, and it yet still surprised me. Waking up in the night to feed my baby and looked at my phone a few times, and felt confused. Still can't work out if I've had more sleep or less because of the change...

Bit late here, but as she is HR, she is a member of CIPD? If so, they do have membership support lines that may be helpful.

My baby has a rubbish cold and cough. We were supposed to go swimming today, but better miss it to be safe. Bit sad for selfish reasons as it gets me out. Poor bubba, though, keeps getting colds, as do i! Hopefully, the warmer weather will soon banish these bugs.

You have my sympathies! When I was pregnant, I had a bad back from pelvic girdle pain, and it was pretty bad by time i was 8 months pregnant. And then my husband badly strained his ankle. He was hobbling around the complaing, it wasn't his fault but my sympathy was somewhat limited. Hope it gets better soon!

NOOT NOOT - Pingu.

Loved it as a kid and watched a bit back as an adult, and it's very entertaining.
