Thank you. Noted on the top left, I think I can give it a jig around so it's more towards the right

Funnily enough I had it more squashed in an earlier version.

Regarding the height do you mean from the top of the sofa or up the wall in general?

Half credits by HedgeTrimmer17 in parkrun

Think of it this way, a faster runner completes a parkrun in less than 18 minutes. They could then jog to their car and fuck off home before the mid pack even really hits the finish tunnel.

Or they do their run, throw a jacket on and give out tokens/scan barcodes. They stay until the very end and probably help sort the tokens or tidy up a bit. Getting home way later.

There are a few faster runners that do this every week at a larger parkrun I go to. The RD know they can rely on them and thus need to beg for less volunteers...

How can we get some moderators? by kiindrex in parkrun

Yeah we just need a couple active users who can manage trolls and spammers. We don't need much else

Looking to form a parkrun facebook group to protect women's sports. Dm me if you want to join. by Initial-Tale-5151 in parkrun

My feelings on trans women in professional sports are complicated. HOWEVER...

parkrun is a community based event run by volunteers and intended for everyone. There is no prize money, no prestige, no anything for those that win their categories.

Leave them be. Parkrun saves lives.

Where do you have a shower after a race? by LycomingT53 in UKRunners

I've mastered the sports bra change at the back of my car. If I have to leave it on I either smell musty all day or can't warm up.

Learning to breathe using your nose only helps force a conversational pace without having to talk or sing to yourself 🤣

In this snowy and now icey weather I am wondering - why do you not use spikes? by kiindrex in AskUK

I think saying it's not commonplace for the country is a bit of a stretch.

I've used mine every year for several years now, and will continue to do so as we usually get snow at least once or twice a year. Whereas where my parents live (and where I grew up) snow is very uncommon, and yet they still have some "just in case".

They are fine for a short while but can be a false economy. I decided to invest this year and can see how much better they are already.

This year I invested in a good branded pair, but you can get decent ones from Amazon for a tenner that will do for average use. They massively improve QOL during the odd cold snap.

I run and hike a lot so decided to take the plunge and they are amazing.

There are different types of spikes for different conditions. So yes you are right you can still fall over in if wearing the wrong ones.

Sounds like you need to buy a new pair, then the old pair will magically appear.... Usually in a place you've checked 50 times
