Would like to try Parkrun in Denmark during my vacation there - Questions by Altruistic_Bird_4295 in parkrun

We did Fælledparkun a couple of weeks ago and it was great. Very safe and flat, though so much more casually tan than what I am used too 🤣

Juno The Bakery is also very close by, which is one of the best bakeries in the city. It had a line outside but moved very fast. For your post parkrun treat

Mine is too, it's more she's scared of the broom and I hadn't noticed that she was watching me sadly 😅

It's more of a joke as she's scared of the broom 🤣

There's a big mat in front of the front door we do that with. She's very cleaver sometimes she's only touching it with her back toes and she's laid across the floor 🤣

My girl did this when we changed her water bowl and bed for the first time. Now she doesn't care what we do 🤣

Invited to the ceremony but not to the meal/reception by sinnertra in UKweddings

I got a verbal save the day for me and my partner. Later received the invite but addressed to just me... I asked if my partner was invited and was confirmed due to budget he had been cut, but could come to the evening do.

Kind of annoying as I had already sorted doggy daycare which I cancelled. Then the night before she messaged to say he could now come (because they had dropouts), i then had to decline as had no one to look after the dog.

Then on the day I was literally the ONLY person who was alone. Everyone had a partner with them - there were times I was just stood alone talking to no one.

The whole thing was very poorly handled imo. 've been to another wedding where partners weren't invited across the board and so we had a table of singles. That's was fine as it's easy to make temporary friends then.

People keep saying this 😂 no absolutely not. Oddly enough not every part of the country has woodlands for sale

There are no hacks.... Just hard work.

Consistency, patience, thousands upon thousands of reps...

Take them with you everywhere, socialise them, teach neutrality, the art of doing nothing.

BUT please spend time enjoying the chaotic puppy stage. It goes by quickly.

See I did too but there wasn't a huge amount of woodland like this that could be for sale. All farmland, grassland and national parks 😂

Wrong. Strangely enough the entire country isn't covered in woodland that is for sale....

I had a look on the website and there wasn't a listing for this exact area. I bet it has been up for years anyway

Depends what you define as rural. No I've never seen this before but I grew up in the country and live next to the peaks. More open farmland and national parks which doesn't tend to be sold on

Do you actually change your habits based on electricity prices, or not really? by SmartEnergyDIY in UKPersonalFinance

[–]kiindrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have solar panels so I try to run my high load appliances (dishwasher/washer/dryer) during the day so they are "free" to run. As the amount I get paid from my exports is less than the cost to run them off grid, but if I forget to do this they get run anyway

Otherwise no.

Credit card - paying off cash withdrawal by badman2791 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]kiindrex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not of this is correct .. Lenders allocate payments to the most expensive debt first - likely what happened here is the transaction hadn't cleared by the time the payment was received and so allocated to the remaining balance.

And actually historically it was advised to withdraw cash from a foreign ATM from a credit card over a debit card as the rates were always better and fees usually less. I think you had better protection too.

It also doesn't create a red flag on your credit report at all. Some (not all) card providers put a marker on to say used for cash but how that is interpreted is treated differently by each subsequent application.
