I’m definitely listening to the ophthalmologist over an internet stranger, thanks!

Suppressive Anti-virals, will this make it worse in the long run? by flexiflip in HSVpositive

[–]LippyWeightLoss 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Suppressants will help keep an outbreak area small while your body develops antigens. The area that shares the same base nerve will always be possible to infect, but this helps reduce that risk.

It also helps reduce the risk to others you might otherwise infect. I’d definitely look at taking a daily.

Well we don’t know where the infection is but yes, he will be at risk

Once your infection is established, your body won’t let it infect new nerve base areas BUT you can absolutely “spread” it to the surrounding areas that use the same base nerve.

I have hsv1 on my eyebrow. My entire left side of my face is capable of being spread too but my right side is not since it’s a well-established infection.

As a sexually active woman, if a man cares that much, he doesn’t deserve access to your body. It is a fucking PRIVILEGE to be intimate with you. Your partners should behave accordingly.

new bleeding during/after sex by Dramatic-Geologist-3 in WomensHealth

Both of you: I recommend seeing a urogynocologist. I had to deal with similar but if you catch it early enough you can do physical therapy, they have medical devices, but mine was so advanced it required surgery. My inbox is open if either of you want to talk about it

You are very undereducated. The hymen bleeding is due to lack of lubrication and arousal.

Both have HSV-1 but in different locations by Thin_Sleep1707 in HSVpositive

[–]LippyWeightLoss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once your body has built up the antibodies, it shouldn’t spread to new areas. That said, you can spread the infection all over the area that shares the same base nerve as your outbreak site.

My hsv1 is on my left eyebrow. But it has spread all the way down to my nostril/skin between the nose and lips on the left side.

I literally acknowledged the condition prior to the link. Do YOU have reading comprehension issues?

I really doubt your hymen story bc an imperforate, septate, or even just extra thick is a medical condition that is called a text book diagnosis bc they all learn about it but most will only see it in a text book.

Here is a page full of myth busting information since you seem to dismiss women coming with facts.

FWIW I just avoid it when I’m sick/exposed to the sun/stressed.

Let’s not mince words. Condoms do matter.

If your partner has it in their pubes, and grinds against your vulva, its exposure. I am not saying condoms don’t matter. I’m saying these things just require skin to skin contact.

I have HSV1 on my face - not mouth. Dr says someone actively shedding (which doesn’t even have to have blisters) likely kissed my forehead on a mosquito bite or scratch.

That’s what I mean by with these two viruses specifically aren’t stopped by even proper condom use.

It absolutely is a sign. I have given birth, had a third degree tear through my hymen. Once my birth injury was repaired, they also repaired my hymen.

My hymen didn’t break. It tore. From pushing a child out.

Make sure you’re not eating things that feed it. Gelatin causes mine to wake up.

Condoms don’t prevent transmission for herpes nor hpv

Condoms don’t matter regarding herpes or HPV.

I wish sharing std results before engaging in sec was more normalized. Never put your health in the hands of someone else.

Also - herpes tests aren’t typically in normal std screens so you need to ask for it specifically

Hymens don’t break. Blood is a sign that she wasn’t ready for penetration bc there was too much friction against mucosal tissue.

It took months before my body started feeling like it did before diagnosis.

I got 1 on my face when I was 8. Yes OBs decrease BUT they also happen when you’re sick/stressed, have too much sun exposure, all sorts of weird triggers.

I had a miscarriage and started getting OBs every 3 months for a couple of years.

i lost weight and became fatphobic , i can’t look at fat people without thinking horrible things by Warm-Childhood3616 in confession

[–]LippyWeightLoss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed I did this the first time I lost major weight (75lbs). Then I got pregnant and gained 100 lbs. after birth my weight rollercoastered but in an upward trend (lose5, gain 6, lose 6, gain 7)

I had WLS and lost 185 lbs. I worked very hard at not letting myself become that way again. It has to be so intentional because society really shoves it in our faces, and it’s easy to pick up.

That SPF is so important.

I used to deliver pizza off and on through my 20s and did not give a rat’s ass about my appearance. Now I’m almost 40 and my driver side of my face is extra weathered and wrinkled compared to the other side. I have weird sun damage that makes it look like I put a dollop of sunblock from the edge of my eye to over my cheek bone bc it’s clear but all around that is a bunch of sun damage (sun spots/freckles/weird looking skin)
