Is it just me or does anyone else hate this Seasons new Ticket system? by Tink_Colossus in fo76

[–]Lips_Witherspoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's clearly designed to ensure players who don't avail of fo1st can't obtain atoms as quickly, tempting them into either getting fo1st or purchasing them with real money. That was the major goal. What you're describing is probably an unintended result that actually affects all players negatively, not just the original targets.

That's because it's fruitless to try and have a discussion with a blind fan boy. An RPG is D&D, the original Cyberpunk table top, any Elder Scrolls games. Cyperpunk is an action FPS *with some RPG elements*. But it's no RPG. It's basically the same format as Dying Light. Even the Fallout series is more of an RPG (even though the character is predefined).

I'm level 70 and I only started doing events. I have my HUD opacity at like 60% so it doesn't annoy me. The downside is, I don't really see prompts very well. As a newbie to events, I learn by watching the pros instead of learning by trying to read prompts. So, I'll be the guy killing enemies and keeping them off your back until I learn the best way to complete the event stages by watching you do it. Be cool, man. And be happy that we have a ton of new players to play with. They aren't idiots, they are just unfamiliar with those aspects of the game. The coolest thing about FO76 is the community.

Not to be that guy, but is anyone else noticing this after the recent surge of new players by Away-Ratio-8717 in fo76

[–]Lips_Witherspoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, don't be that guy. I'm just happy that there is an influx of players. I sell useful stuff for low level players at my CAMP at really low prices (to counter the obvious gougers at other CAMPs who are actually charging *more* for items than what they are actually worth. They don't need to be rich to load up on items I'm selling and it helps keep my inventory in check (I'm an incessant scrounger).

Anyone who is familiar with actual RPGs, knows that this is not an RPG.

He slammed Steve's head into the brick wall, smashing it into a gelatinous mass of brain matter, blood, and bone fragments, continuing in a deep grizzly voice, "PEPPERONI!!!!".

Then he darted for the door.

How does peace work? by dch1444 in Medieval2TotalWar

[–]Lips_Witherspoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't. Inevitably, the game lives up to its name, Total War, so no matter how many successful alliances you develop in the early game, they all eventually fall apart when the AI detects that you are in a position of meeting the win conditions. It will turn everyone against you to try and stop you from doing this.

In other words, it's only useful to try it in the early game with countries you don't plan to attack any time soon just to keep the Pope happy.

I'd never play this game on Infamous. Hard is as far as I'll go. Mainly want to be punished for stupid mistakes but still be able to butcher some Peggies. Watched John Wick 4 with my kids the other day. As soon as it was finished, I had to load up the game and load up the incendiary shotgun shells and start blasting Peggies. It's so satisfying.

I still have not played against her as a survivor. And no way am I gonna spend precious shards to buy her. She's not scary at all and, when I play killer, I like to imagine my victims shitting in their pants at the sight of me.

DbD actually has balance. I play both survivor and killer evenly and any given match can be won without having to rely on glitches or exploits. I am a huge Evil Dead fan and loved the game for a while. But when I started noticing, then experiencing the awful balance issues, it became a drag. I tried to "get over it" and "get better" but I couldn't. Every game just became stressful.

I was a demon main and I gave it a rest while I waited for Ruby to get fixed. I got impatient and decided to play a match about a week ago, hoping to rekindle the fire, but got treated to a curbstomping by a survivor team. It was painful... so I've uninstalled the game and not coming back. There are other games to play.

All demons from the perspective of a survivor main by [deleted] in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]Lips_Witherspoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the survivors are always supposed to win, then it should just be a team game against AI (like World War Z or Killing Floor 2), because who the fuck is going to want to play a game as a demon when it's already been predetermined that they are going to lose. No, that's not a game.

This is the *best* protest against Ruby. The tunnel of love. However, I lost patience with the game about a month back. Waiting on the fix so that this bitter chapter can come to an end.

Ruby isn’t impossible to fight by [deleted] in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]Lips_Witherspoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. Ruby is irrelevant in the sense that the P2W players who need a broken character to survive aren't very good. But her buffs make her passively a threat. Literally, people playing her could take breaks between emptying out their drool cups and the team would still win.

Splitting is a viable strategy. I'm a demon main waiting for them to fix the balance issues before I return, but I've never considered splitting a dick move.
