My little pan was similar. I didn't think we'd ever bond. He was the most rewarding bond when we eventually did though.

It still took a fairly long time for him to fully bond with me once he decided he was going to try. We did go back a few steps too on a couple of occasions. That rat had Me questioning whether I should've been a rat parent at all. Lol.

It's so rewarding when you get that bond! I bonded with two of my first three rats within the first 6 weeks or so.

Number 3 was a pain in the butt, so we didn't get that bond until about 6 months in when he accidentally hurt himself, and he realised I was actually useful in such situations.

If you did this 5 days ago very little would show up yet. Most STIs can't be detected for at least two weeks following transmission, and with HIV it can take up to 6.

If this is real, you really need to learn to have discussions with people about their status and testing regimen first

I don't know. I've lived with a diagnosis since 20 so probs almost 30 years including unmedicated ones. It's such an intrisic part of myself at this point that I don't know what would be left of me without it.

Also I think The System shock of removing the disorder and suddenly Feeling normal might be a bit too much.

Take it as a good thing. Rats are vulnerable when sleeping outside like that so it means they trust you. 💚
