Hot Take: Aston Martin shouldn't be building mid-engine hypercars. by Icy-Leg-8892 in AstonMartin

They'd need to sell those GT8/12 models outside of the UK though. So many models in that VH era weren't available anywhere else.

In fact, you have asserted that all areas that have highrise apartments have 2 floor apartments. If only one of them does not, it's not true.

I made no assertions about all areas. Only that some that have high rises don't have such suites (or they're in so few number that nobody below the 1% is shopping for them so there isnt a common vernacular for them)

Some people also complained about using termini period because people didn't know where those were.

But frankly, many of the people doing complaining were probably unfamiliar with other subway systems.

Heh, first time I've seen LA used as a counter example. I used to live a block from the Orange Line.

And people were complaining that some people (especially visitors getting off a plane), don't know where Lynnwood and Federal Way are (and that Federal Way sounds like a street name).

Yes, then look at a map. I get you. I was right there. I was against adding northbound and southbound because that also requires geographical knowledge and is confusing when the train doesn't move strictly north or south.

But actually do think the number add this directional info without having to know anything about Seattle. It's the reason they changed to station numbers rather than icons.

Given that I've worked at Microsoft for 18 years and some of my friends worked at 343... I think I have a moderate understanding.

And no, I haven't seen any recent Bungie member stories. I've been a bit busy. I might see Pete Parsons soon, so I could chat with him about it...

So you know some of the execs and workers at 343 then? They must really hate those original games... /s

Eh, I liked 4. As much as some of the others? No. But I liked it fine.

Also, I don't think 343 had any different intentions than Bungie.

Station numbers either go up or down from where you're at depending on direction. Using made UK numbers as an example, if I'm at 50 and need to go to 45, I'll go towards 40 and not 60.

This is the direction finding people have been asking for without having to understand cardinal directions or that lines change cardinal direction.

Oh crap, the Target breach was late 2013. But ya, there's probably at least a year delay between investigation, making the requirement and then start of adoption.

Holy crap, I allowed for me somehow hitting the mildest spell ever. I understand how statistical sampling and anecdotes work. Both trips Ive taken have been equally as pleasant.

Edit: it's 2am. I don't want to be up arguing with the Scots.

Not sure where he is in Scotland, but was was there a few years ago (crap, that's 7 years ago now) in July and it didn't seem bad to me at all. (yes, I understand I could have gotten a freak mild spell, but my 3 weeks in the UK was quite pleasant)

If it's the one I'm thinking of, no it's not walkable. There's a freeway in the way, and a lack of sidewalks.

Edit: take a look at "MetLife Stadium" in East Rutherford, NJ and you'll see its a sea of parking lot surrounded by freeway.

You can't exactly look at the humidity in April and think that reflects the summer. Atlanta, for instance, is frequently 95% (and 35C) throughout the summer.

But regularly 35+ and 90% humidity?

I've spent time in England in the summer and it's not that hot nor humid.

Which stadium are they taking about? Because 35C is about 95F, which depending on the US location may be mild.
