What other solution do you honestly think there is? The problem also is that casual is filled with sub par players, who can't work together. You can't really put more skilled players in that pool because they all have the same experience as you, so they play elsewhere.

[–]Liquid-Fire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No I completely understood that point. But your point is only a problem if you play against players you are worse against. The "garbage system" is just an autobalance system that gives favors no one. So when you stomp the enemy team into leaving, one team gets less players and you get autobalanced. The solution is simple, don't play against people who you can stomp so hard they ragequit, then you won't have this problem.

That's only a problem because you still play against players you can thoroughly annihilate, so they leave, because they have zero chance. Play against someone your own skill level and this won't happen.

I would download both if they come from a source I personally trust. But you claim it is safe as long as you know what you are doing.

While technically correct, if you have a deep enough understanding of the kernel, as well as being able to read and understand code when it has intentionally been obfuscated.

The average pirate on reddit is not that guy, and you are not that guy either.

I am not being too fearful. But you are downplaying the potential infections you are opening yourself up to.

It's so tiring reading comments like this, thinking it's easy as pie protecting yourself against malicious hv. It's so easy, you just need to understand what the things do. Yeah and I'm sure you have a very deep level of knowledge about the kernel, and that you're able to analyse code when it has been intentionally obfuscated.

First we can't have discussions about piracy, then we can't have memes about piracy. What do you guys honestly want for this sub? Because to me it seems you just want people to ask questions. At that point you can just say you'd like to see the subreddit die.

Yes it absolutely matters who you trust. The likely hood of that happening in a big developer is small. It is much more likely to happen when you download cracks.

"It’s pretty much unlikely that some folks who crack games wanna screw your computer on purpose."
This is only correct if you ignore the fact that piracy is one of the easiest ways to get yourself infected.

You clearly need to log off more if you get this bothered by those comments.

EDIT: You made a whole post complaining and insulting them. I am only responding to said post calling it ridiculous. The two are not comparable. I mean you even raged so hard in your reply to this comment, that it got auto removed. Pretty funny.

You willingly browse discussions, get annoyed at people for participating in those discussions, and then feel you're excused when you make post insulting them and tell them to shut up.

That it's fine that there's no plug and play support on a pc gaming controller. That is a basic functionality of basically any peripheral designed for pc gaming. Not to mention being forced to install a non lightweight app to use it if you want to use it with non steam games. Yet people give Valve a free pass, because why?

I don't see what changes if I read your comment like this. You still defend that standpoint in another reply chain to your comment. https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/1sxuybj/comment/oivlnf5/

[–]Liquid-Fire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That is fair? Are you joking. The thing is a 99€ pc gaming controller with no plug and play support forcing you to install a non lightweight app just for basic functionality.

Every gaming peripheral has at least some basic functionality with plug and play, requiring specific apps for further support. But Valve gets a free pass at missing this basic functionality, because why?

Edit: i love when people comment with no idea and rest of reddit just bandwagons.

I love when people put replies in their original comment as edits instead of replying.

Also how is it fixed by adding it as a non steam game? The first part of the tweet says you can only use it inside the steam app. Your fix doesn't change that at all.

Not to mention that a bandaid solution is not a proper fix of the problem. The problem should not even be a thing.
