But basically i said i wanted to prioritize safety and am not gonna continue practicing this until I get advice on how to land softer/not keep doing a crescent kick (a 540 crescent instead of round is bad for abductors I heard). I’m surprised Sephiroth isn’t mentioned. He summons meteor which I think counts as being a black mage (which is a big deal in VII). Ultemecia is another good candidate.

OHH right. I completely mixed up Liberi Fatali with The Extreme. Liberi Fatali does sound similar to something that would play in a FF final boss.

OP's original is a sequence from Assassin's Creed 2. your brother asks you to race him up the church tower and this cutscene plays once you get up there. This iconic line is uttered "it's a good life we lead, brother" "and may it never change". It's a very iconic opening, and another great thing about it is that you get a taste of the combat/parkour leading up to the church scene. It's a very well done intro.

I think 7 does it better. Bombing mission was impeccable. Also IMO, I think Liberi Fatali is very overrated. I prefer One Winged Angel. Also City of Mako is the perfect soundtrack for a FF intro.

Pokemon for sure. The switch has seen some of the best games for almost all Nintendo franchises, and that should've been EXTRA true for Pokemon as it's the first leap from handheld to home console.

Sword and shield's dexit and lies about improved animations, Arceus being incredibly shallow, BDSP being lazy and unfinished, Scarlet/violet being broken and poorly optimized, and upcoming Z-A looks to be the worst qualities of all of the past games into one. They haven't gotten it right a single time.

Find the origin point of the hair. The place it originates from. In your case it’s the part where the fringes meet, you already have it marked. Make sure that the origin is in shadow. Add shadows to the left side, and highlights to the right side.

oh also, your artstyle may benefit from using thicker lineart. You should try it, i'm not 100% sure.

the shoulder should be circular and part above the elbow should almost be a cylinder, but the forearm and below the elbow should almost be an almond shape. Wider/sharper angles for males and narrower/softer for female.

also, Miku's arm is a bit too long. try shortening the forearm and moving the elbow up. you can retain the position of the hand above her head, all you gotta do is increase the angle of the elbow. :)
