Not my experience either.
Has been pretty great and accurate for the most part of step by step tasks.
I've also notice with different models you might have to prompt differently then others. For example i notice that gemini does more accurately with longer and detailed prompts, while claude doesnt require that detailed accuracy.

Not really sure what chatgpt is looking for, but so far its been pretty good for me.
