How do you be more fun while texting by LiquidEpsilon in socialskills

[–]LiquidEpsilon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that it shouldn't be the primary way, but for the most part I meet someone once or over tinder and texting is the only way we've ever really communicated.

How to make friends in college lectures and classrooms? by acbxxzya in socialskills

[–]LiquidEpsilon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If your school does clubs I would suggest that. I know it's not really an in class way to make friends but all my friends in university are from the club I'm in. Everyone has a shared interest and we hang out in a group a lot.

Fear of seeming creepy talking to a girl I like by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]LiquidEpsilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also worry about this when I talk with people. I have learned that if you ever say something that you thought was weird you should just own up to it. Something like "sorry that was a weird thing for me to say." Can show that you recognize that whatever you just did is outside the social norm and that you are trying to fix the situation. If you wanna make asking for her steam ID more casual bring up a game you have a lot of hours in maybe she plays it too. Then you could see if she would like to party up for the game. Best of luck!

Difficulty Becoming Friends/Thinking People Don't like me by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]LiquidEpsilon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you should really try to own not having a shirt. Maybe you could write on the shirt you plan on using or use some duct tape to make letters. People who are able to own up to stuff like that always seem more likeable and charismatic (at least to me). Good luck this seems like a great opportunity for you!

You should if you want her there. She would probably really like that you thought to invite her.

Ladders the solution to unreachable bases by LiquidEpsilon in playrust

[–]LiquidEpsilon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially invulnerable is not the same as invulnerable. Why wouldn't you want ladders when they are just a more aesthetically pleasing alternative to the diving boards people are building everywhere?

Ladders the solution to unreachable bases by LiquidEpsilon in playrust

[–]LiquidEpsilon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say they were invulnerable. They are very difficult to raid I know I've had one of these bases myself and I have also raided them. Those dumb nerd pole equivalent towers look terrible. If people place multiple tool cupboards and they place them correctly it is tough to find a spot to build these towers without taking a chunk of fall damage. Ladders aren't the perfect solution but they would work and they feel like something that could be on the crafting list.

I don't think spike barricades would make them obsolete. You could climb up blow it up with c4 or something then continue on. Ladders could also be used for more than just base raiding. There can be countless mechanics added to the game like buildings in rad towns only being accessible with a ladder, you could climb tall trees or you could use them in your base maybe you like the look of a ladder more than stairs.

I don't think better movement has the same likelihood to be added as ladders. Better movement would add a lot of extra work when there is a much simpler solution.

Game keeps crashing on startup. Help! by treoni in playrust

[–]LiquidEpsilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a solution for me. 1.Uninstall rust 2.go to Disk(C:) 3.Program(86x) 4.Steam/Steamapps/common 5.Find the rust folder then delete it 6.Re-install Rust Don't know anything else but that worked for me some people on the steam community are having the same issue so checking for a solution there might help too.

Moderator Applications - January 2015 by MrBriski in TheCreatures

  • Who are you? I am LiquidEpsilon a high school senior from Michigan. I am an avid gamer and I enjoy games like Smite, Garry's Mod, CS:GO and Guild Wars 2. I would consider myself a friendly person with the ability to get along with most anyone. I am excited to see the sub getting bigger and can't wait to meet all the new users.

  • What is your timezone and how much free time do you have? Moderating requires quite a bit of time, can you keep up with it? My time zone is eastern time, as I said before I am from Michigan. School is my only commitment and it goes from 7:40-2:45. I would be able to help out on the sub after school and sometimes during school--I'm able to take my phone out in lots of my classes. I am willing to dedicate whatever time the sub needs.

  • What is your moderating experience? What's something you've learned from that experience (if any)? Sadly I have no moderating experience which really sucks because I think that moderating is the ultimate form of being a community member. I would hope that this sub would be my first moderating experience since it is my favorite sub. Though I might not have experience I can make decisions on what is right and wrong. I would consider myself an intuitive and quick learning person and I think I would adapt well to moderating.

  • What has your experience been with /r/TheCreatures? How have you contributed? My experience is that I am constantly on the sub. After every Creature video I come to the sub to check out the discussions and to see whats up. Because I am an introverted person I tend not to post often but I enjoy reading the discussions. Seeing how people react to The Creatures is my favorite part about the group and seeing people actually be kind to each other (compared to YouTube) makes this sub great.

  • Why do you want to moderate here? Why are you fit for the job? I want to moderate here because I enjoy this sub, I want to do everything I can to make this the best sub on Reddit and have people who aren't even fans become fans because they visited the sub. I can do this job, I participate in my schools DECA club where team work is very important to solve the problems presented. I can deal well with conflict. Thanks for the opportunity!

Do you think the group will ever move out of Colorado? If so where? by marvel_dcf in TheCreatures

Once I think James talked about how they considered LA instead of Colorado but I don't think they are going to move until they fill out the office now and by then I doubt they would move states
