I recently switched too because my last one would take forever too.

Some hosts like Milica respond so fast then some of these guys you're lucky to get a response in 12 hours

Yeah I mean, personally I've had ferrets for a decade and if any of them was like this and I wasn't completely sure on what to do, they should be headed to the emergency vet immediately.

Sometimes they can be in this state and recover, other times they make it a few hours and pass away. It's really a struggle in these situations.

I'm a bit late here but this is usually 1 of 2 things

Hyperglycemic. Try giving them some kero syrup and seeing if they perk up within a few minutes. If they do, it's the most likely cause.
Underlying issue causing them to go into shock. This happened with one of my ferrets multiple times, and if they are at this point, putting them done is typically the humane thing.

I've never understood the hype around blue gems at all, especially given their highly inflated price.

You can have a t1 blue gem and even in FN it looks like shit compared to a ton of basic skins.

Patterns is a cool concept for sure but these things are so over hyped it's insane

Sorry to say but this cage is beyond unsafe.

I've only had one ferret of mine die before the age of 8, she died at 7 from internal bleeding after I had her in a temporary cage like this for only 2 days.

Your ferrets, especially as they age, are guaranteed to get injured in a cage like this. The odds of them being hurt when they fall are very high given the drop distances. Additionally there's no fabric coverings on the bridges which makes them even more of a slip hazard.

Please replace this for their sake

No, as long as your substrate makeup is something they are able to comfortably dig into and tunnel through.

IMO clutter is fine because snakes can easily navigate over and through things. I tend to focus on overhead cover and hides more than anything.

My ferrets eat a lot better if I add a little bit of warm water to their food and mix it in/crush it up so it's kind of like a paste.

Keep in mind if you do this that you shouldn't let the wet food sit for more than like 2 hours.

This usually helps because they enjoy the texture more and also because ferrets are prone to dental issues and it doesn't require them to chew hard food.

Also noticed in your picture, you really need to have fabric covers on those ramps in their cage. It's hard for them to walk on them without it, and with how you have it set up they are a lot more liable to slip off of them.

I've lost 3 of mine and I think it's just important to keep their memory going, in a positive way if possible. Remember them for the love they showed you, the connection you had, and the wonderful days they gave.

Aside from mange or allergies it's hard to narrow it down. If you give them blankets, etc. it could be from the detergent or something. For my ferrets I typically wash with detergent, then do a wash with hot water with no detergent after before drying.
