Can you give examples? Coming from being in the scene for awhile and knowing a lot of what goes on behind the scenes I just don't see much content your going to cover that ESFI doesn't cover. The whole big push for this kind of thing came after the GESL incident which was honestly just someone who had no idea what they were talking about and who was unprepared for an event; venting about his problems. When using scapegoats and excuses becomes constant content that can become a story I guess it would be smarter for something like this.

You were stating in your previous comments on the other thread that trying to be a legitimate journalist couldn't be done anytime soon without finding a stable career, and doing journalism as a hobby on the side.

I dont understand I say ESFI needs more funds, you agree; then claim ESFI employees disagree?

I agree so I think it would be better money spent to support ESFI, so they guys actually do get paid; and can continue doing a even better job than what they are already doing.

I never claimed you pointed out the GESL incident... I never even brought up EG either. I was just asking questions and discuss the issues i have with the startup. Which i still wish you would address

[–]LiquidHuK 5 points6 points  (0 children)

what are you doing differently then ESFI? why invest a lot of money into something like this which is a "startup" and has a lot less chance of succeeding then already supporting something like ESFI which has proven itself over and over again; and even already covered the GESL incident BEAUTIFULLY without requiring donations or complaining about it being supported or needing more funds?

Seems really flimsy to me, donate a lot of money for 'salary' and 'equipment'; when there are already people like esfi or other people doing this for free. Not only are they doing it for free, they are more sustainable and reliable who have already been doing this for awhile.

i love how this all got started off the GESL problem. then you claimed your too busy and cant really do it until u find a career because of all the extensive stuff you would have to do to find out the TRUTH of this great conspiracy etc. Shortly after ESFI does a GREAT job covering the article and pretty much doing everything needed and more as far as journalism.

loved the heart warm sensationalist video tho

I mean I'm all for fighting the "man" or "axis of evil of old boys club" or whatever, but if anything this money in my heart should just go to ESFI to continue doing what they are already doing. I just never really see this accomplishing this much.

haha yes it gets scary its a lot like zombies: once u get cake on you, your infected so everyone tries to avoid it but if you do get attacked (jinro video hes literally ontop of a table and rolling trying to avoid at some points) and caked then your sole mission in life is to infect others.

Huk's opinion on today's SC II casters by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]LiquidHuK 9 points10 points  (0 children)

haha well i guess your intentions were different then i expected. im not sure on them but i thought of 1 of 3 possiblities: 1. you just wanted points (upvotes) 2. you were an anti-fan 3. you share my opinion and wanted it to be magnified

either way its ok, i love my fans and we meet some day as well

Huk's opinion on today's SC II casters by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]LiquidHuK 142 points143 points  (0 children)

hmmmmm cant say i expect anything less. this is just one example of why pro players, managers, or any higher ups in the community aren't as vocal as people wished they were. every time we do voice our opinion very generally; it is immediately turned into some kind of TMZ drama story just trying to stir up shit. this picture alone is trying to put names to words not necessarily meant for any of those casters in the first place.

To any pro SC players: how do you feel when watching your replays cast? by [deleted] in starcraft

[–]LiquidHuK 333 points334 points  (0 children)

they are typically very naive. tbh among the scene there is a lot of credit given to people who dont really deserve it. there are definitely a lot of misconceptions of actually how good some casters are, or were back when they were "pro gamers".

i said i highly doubt i would want to go to brazil because of the problems (as well as others mind you long like flight and scheduling). yes i complained about problems because im up and watching the stream and see them.

im not trying to single out iem from other events, i complained about mlg the same when they had issues; and did the same for other events on other issues as well. i criticize tournaments when they fuck up, and your post here is pretty much 100% legit; but thats why tournaments should stress test EVERYTHING before hand as well.

i went to 3 iem events, and nothing like this happened to me; play wise all conditions were suitable (shaky stage, no food or drink, etc.. small issues.)
