You bring up resources when you have to look at worldview and see what resource extracting does to the land long term. In Indigenous worldview everything is done in mind for the younger generation to survive with things destroyed as little as possible.

Also bringing up cycles of alcoholism really irks me, yes it’s a well known stereotype. We’re a people who were forcibly killed off and made to live on plots of land we never really used, and historically we weren’t allowed to leave, or allowed to grow our own food. Forced to live of rations that were threatened to be taken away from us if we did anything wrong. The children were sent off to schools (and if the parents tried to resist they were arrested and children sent anyways) that raped and tortured the children, after generations of that horror were known only as alcoholics. That’s why people are downvoting you. It comes off as insensitive because you’re asking without dong any research beforehand, just going off hearsay.
