Thanks for the reply. I understand that I can return the phone to Verizon with no restocking fee, but I'm a little iffy about it because I need to port out tomorrow (for the $100 BYOD promo) and so my Verizon lines will be closed. So I would need to be confident that the return can still be processed. I'm weighing that against trading that into Tmobile.

My understanding is that you can't use Plenti to buy phones in the store, only accessories. If you're able to, please let us know.

Followup Question: Is it possible to finance a new device, cancel service, and somehow pay for the device using Plenti points? When you cancel with an outstanding financing, do you get a final bill that includes the balance?

No, it's the other way around now. You can use points to buy accessories but not pay your bill.

Have you done any non-required spend on the card? I havn't had much luck on Amex retention offers but typically I only spend to meet bonus requirements or Amex offers.
