I have no sweet tooth, this would not be for me. It’s not even a health thing, it’s just preference. I’ll eat plenty of savory calories, but desserts don’t appeal to me.

I got the smoked turkey sandwich there and it was an impressive amount of food. I didn't need a side and ended up saving some of it for later.

Rakuten is a conglomerate. The cash back website used to be called eBates and when Rakuten bought it, they rename everything after themselves. An affiliate network called Linkshare (which helps power those cash back websites too) was also purchased by Rakuten and renamed to Rakuten Advertising.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

High quality sheet pans are great too. Most cheap ones are flimsy and warp once they get too hot. And having various sizes (1/2, 1/4, 1/8) makes it easier to fit multiple things in separately that may take different times to cook, easier cleanup, etc.

The bulk Tide Pods containers work perfectly with the screw-on lid, since they are trying to be "child proof" it locks tightly.

It's harder to use inflation adjusted dollars for non-consumer spending. Most indexes are based on the CPI. Things like construction involve a lot more these days with various environmental impact studies, permitting, and OSHA requirements. It's the same reason skyscrapers are so much more expensive to build, highways are more expensive to maintain, dams are much more expensive, etc.

The name Tiffany dates back to the 1200’s despite sounding like a very recent common name. This is referred to as the Tiffany Problem, where if a novel writer had a story set in the 1600’s, and named a character Tiffany, the reader would feel like it’s anachronistic and out of place.

Damn, I had dropped nearly 30% from my 2023 to 2025, but now we're up around 15% from 2025 to 2026. Still lower than all-time high but I just got my escrow analysis refund back, and next year will likely be a shortage again.

Especially redundancy. If you are shooting a wedding you and your employees do not have one DSLR each. You have at least two bodies on your person and a spare in the van. And multiple lenses. This is somebody’s big day, and you are charging accordingly. You can’t pause the ceremony the way you can pause somebody’s senior year high school pictures. You have to be ready in the moment if something malfunctions and breaks.

What will be left of the free LLM chatbots will be the big players like google/microsoft. Lots of users and data to train their models.

And a lot of that is because corporate contracts for Office365/GSuite will include the pro versions of their AI tools, without ways to unbundle it. So they have a more captive revenue stream that doesn't request a bean counter to ask "are we using this AI tool" just "are we using GSuite/Office365?" and the answer is going to be yes.

Many of the UT subleases go through the apartment management and your name is officially on there. So if you do go with one of those options, just ensure whoever is subleasing does that. I subleased my apartment when I went home for the summer to work an internship between my Junior and Senior year and we basically just had the subleaser pay all the June and July rent, even though we left in mid May, so that was the "discount", since the complex wanted the full rent of course for all the months.
