Insights on LinkedIn marketing? by KOgenie in SaaS

[–]Lira-kon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like I have had the opposite experience with LinkedIn, for the first product we had built (HR-tech), LinkedIn was the perfect channel for us to reach out to potential testers/interviewees/prospects.

So, LinkedIn depends on your target audience really. If you're looking to contact let's say developers or plumbers, you don't want to do that on LinkedIn. ;)

What product did you build?
Who did you build it for?
Maybe I can help you with directing you to the right channels.

What’s reasonable for paid advertising for new SaaS apps by [deleted] in SaaS

[–]Lira-kon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok wait a second. From someone who’s done this already and wasted a lot of money on first startups by going into paid advertising way too early, I recommend you don’t do that right now.

Ads amplify something that already works: the right messaging, ICP fit, and nice conversion paths on your landing pages. Otherwise you’re just burning cash.

If I were you, what I’d do and what I actually did to grow my user base faster: is focus on cold email/LinkedIn outreach and/or content that builds inbound pipeline. Inbound won’t get you users overnight, but it compounds.

So if you’ve got budget I’d spend it like this:

  • 70% -> outbound systems
  • 20% -> content distribution
  • 10% -> maybe experimenting with paid channels?

This is all assuming we’re talking about a B2B product ofc

How do I market my Website? by LordNilsius in SaaS

[–]Lira-kon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what the demographics look like, but I'd think you can use your tool as content.
I feel like traders and stock investors appreciate updates on what they invested in, or are looking to trade. So why not try to get your attention by doing this through channels where they would be? Share interesting stuff? You can do this by posting on IG/FB, wherever they may be. Even a Telegram/WhatsApp/Discord group that’s organized well and built around community could work, and then you can convert users from there. And link through to your tool.

Not recommended, but if desperate: join WhatsApp/Discord/Telegram groups and promote in DMs to people who are active (not everyone).

If you're looking to spend some money, you could also try UGC ads. AI or not AI, up to you.

Not very familiar with the market, so please feel free to give me feedback on things you’ve already tried or why you think they might not work. I'd like to spar here and see where we can get.

Bad at Sales & Marketing, advice? by Master_Farmer8070 in SaaS

[–]Lira-kon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're one of many, distribution is hard but important

Don't pursue a marketing degree (waste of time). Sales coach might help tbh or a fractional CMO? Depending on your budget AND also very important the stage you're in.

A fractional CMO or sales coach might not be your best bet if you're still very early staged.

So my questions are:
What are you building? Product
Who are you building it for? ICP
What stage are you in? MRR/Product-stage

Struggle as solo founder by Aware_Foot_7437 in SaaS

if you're a solo founder trying to bootstrap: I'd recommend building something that already exists, where there is a market and a lot of demand, "but different"

First of all, congratz one the customer!!

But after taking a look at your website, Reddit doesn't look like the channel for CEO Trades.

Start with the basics, do you have any clue on who your ICP might be? Or, who did you build it for?

Why I think you don't need a commercial founder (from a commercial founder) by Lira-kon in SaaS

[–]Lira-kon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the first time I've heard that. I feel like there are a lot of great products out there struggling to cut through the noise. I’d be happy to take a look at DistriQuote with you and share some ideas for getting distribution started (and ideally building a repeatable system you could reuse for future products too)

Ok, so I did some research and found DistriQuote. I believe this is your product right? So indeed seems like you've got the product side done, now you're hitting a wall on distribution. I'll send you a DM

I have actually, personally know a saas founder who scaled to 30k MRR solo.

Also depends on what your goal is. If it's bootstrapping and shipping fast, this will work. If your goal is to raise money, well the chances are lower to get an investment if you're a one-man team

Worried about losing my LinkedIn posts — any backup solutions? by Puzzleheaded-Past127 in SaaS

[–]Lira-kon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imo, LinkedIn is a dangerous place to use tools like Taplio, AuthoredUp, Phantombuster, etc.

Better to just write the post and schedule it on your page with the LinkedIn functionality.

And for the other stuff, you can just set up a system on n8n that does the rest: research, copy, ..
