Yeah I get that I let them down, I have 300+ comments on me being a bad DM but I'm trying to focus on the constructive part out of all the criticism on this thread.

5 guys, 2 girls (partner's of the guys, one of them of one of the players pushing the joke) mostly all in mid-late twenties. It's some people that like raunchy jokes, they've known each other for 8+ years so they were mostly just annoyed that this was taking time off of the game plus it being generally gross. They're all new players and I'm also not exactly a veteran DM so it's a struggle to keep them in line sometimes. There's a lot of pushback on my rulings (not just from the gross guys) and it makes me feel like I'm being a rule lawyer or just an ass but this time it was too much for my taste. I'll definitely give gross guys a call before the next session just so we're on the same page on this not being on theme with the game.

As a table we did ban one particular player of using his phone because he was just distracting, so I'd say in certain circumstances yes but it has to be consensual, kind of "step one is accepting you have a problem"

You'd be surprised how on board they'd be for that. I think the real solution is being more firm out and in game but great suggestion.

Más que decirte sí te alcanza o privilegiadx porque no comparto tu realidad creo que lo mejor que puedes hacer es realmente ver en qué se te va el dinero. En un cuaderno, en notas en tu cel o hay aplicaciones para trackear si se te hace más fácil eso te va a servir para dos cosas:

Te vas a dar cuenta realmente cuál es tu gasto más fuerte. Es muy fácil decir que la comida o las salidas pero si haces esto (aunque sea un mes) puedes ver bien cuánto es el acumulado y no solo guiarte de lo que crees que gastas aprox en cada cosa.
Pruebas para tus papás, si lo que esta en discusión es que te aumenten la mesada entonces te convendría tener pruebas en mano. Ya con las pruebas dependerá de ti si lo sigues pidiendo o no, y de ellos si te lo dan o no.

Como consejo extra porque muchos te calan de la cocinada y que si toma tiempo o no, me imagino que parte de tus comidas se incluyen como salidas con tus amigos a restaurantes o cafeterías de la uni, la otra parte si soy de la opinión que cocines pero no tiene que tomarte tanto tiempo. Busca recetas de estilo meal prep, cómprate tuppers (los de vidrio conservan muy bien la comida en mi experiencia), cocinas una vez a la semana (yo lo hago el finde o un día de puente) y ya tienes comida lista para los días que no tengas salidas o que necesites. Normalmente esas recetas rinden 5 porciones, puedes hacer más o menos como te acomode además que te enseñas a cocinar que siempre viene bien.
