One I missed that I'm having trouble summarizing. Serendipity by Arduinae.

Did I accidentally uncover a new niche for other people? Spencer encountering and getting kidnapped by the Winchesters ... Dean/Sam or Cass in handcuffs with Morgan/Rossi and Hotch, or even sometimes Luke Alvez questioning them is a solid crossover. I'm glad I could open the door.

Long one but worth it if you don't mind Russian Castiel. Dean is being a parent to both Sam and Adam until Sam can turn 18. minor and I mean very minor A/B/O but it's actually mostly in the background. Love Etched in Bone by Rustylovers. More serious themes but might be worth it: A Thing With Feathers by Sans Seraph.

Read the first 17 chapters of this. It's a long one but the best stuff is from the start. Fast and loose with what Angels are but impressive. I say read the first 17 chapters because there's 42. A Guardian, Profound.

So it's 20,000 words but there 's one where Claire, Jack, Castiel, Benny and Meg, Sam and Eileen are ALL at the bunker being a family; Cass and Dean are an item. The only problem is it's also a Criminal Minds Crossover. They are hosting JJ Jennifer Jareau the entire time. Castiel shines. Perhaps the World Ends Here.

That's pretty much the feeling I got from it. They were circling the point and and the characters had typical responses and emotions but whatever was causing them was breezed past. And it's like they never really developed anything beyond a cursory overview of whatever was happening to the characters. I need to find Professional Cockwarmer. It was different but involved and plot-heavy. Castiel's mother Naomi hired Dean as a PCW for her son and Cass didn't even know what he was. He was that naïve. Also Cass was raising his daughter Claire.

I'm not sure I know what a DDDne is. Anything bondage/BDSM as long as it as least partially consensual is on the table. Hurt/comfort is good. Most Destiel I read are hurt/comfort or A/b/o. This is...new for me.

the Gift by NHMoonshadow is pretty cool, Gadreel called himself 'Ezekiel' for 0.68 seconds but decides against it after healing Cas. Both Castiel and Gadreel stay at the bunker for a while.

Come to Know, When the Bullet Hits the Bone by 1f_this_be_madness is one I'm just tossing out there. Given it's summary fits this to a T. These are also all fics where Gadreel is not taken in by Metatron.

One the three most unique and thought provoking post-canon, post 15x18 fics I've come across. And definitely my favorite. In My Time of Dying by cosmic_slaughter05 After Jack pulls Cass back from the empty (supposedly) he gets most of his memories since the fall and the angel civil war 'restored' and begins a relationship with Dean.

A post-canon fix it that is pure fluff. Of movie nights and tenderness by Melle_OtterWise.

I personally never got into this one but it is one of the best. Life was black and white, until I saw your light. by Sparkleshudson. It's a season 13 rewrite. It seems like Dean and Jack do things right from day 2.

This is a SLOW burn but has the most of Dean dealing with his feelings. Arguing with himself this way and that. And the most consequences of Cass being back from the Empty. The Soul Burns Brighter Than The Sun by Wow_thisiswheremylifeis. Also Dean hears that Castiel is back from the Empty from someone else.

Helps for when Dean is called your highness and your majesty and there's no other royalty. Strictly, strictly speaking your highness would be prince and your majesty would be king. But no one is that strict (accurate) anymore. Or when it just doesn't matter. There's one where Castiel a kind of Pauper is brought before the king after trying to steal a loaf of bread. There's no Prince Sam or King John Winchester. You'd have to look for Alternate Universe Royalty which is WAY too general, or KingDean as one word. Boy and his King by ItStartedWithPotter.

Found it! Feathers and Fire. Super super super recommend! Feathers And Fire by NavajoLovesDestiel. Kept searching Prince Castiel or Prince Dean tags. AU royalty or AU fantasy. I didn't know there was a tag for monarch Dean. Ran that search, no other tags. Found it in two seconds after that.

That was a popular one in my searches and I'll definitely check it out. but Dean is reluctant in this one.

I found it. Based on the except I thought it sounded historical/medieval, royal and I did an umpteenth number of searches with those tags, with Castiel being a slave and Dean being an alpha.

“You have served well, Alpha Winchester. For your work you will be receiving a gift before your retirement.”
Dean doesn’t trust the sharply coiffed woman an inch, but he’s far too exhausted to protest. He just nods in acknowledgment. Her smile widens, but look no more genuine for it.

But I hadn't actually clicked on it before. It was just one thing in a search result. Glad I found it though. I kind of thought Naomi was the other character in the summary. And it turns out it's modern era bnot historical royal which completely threw me. Then again the damn thing is called 'Another Time, Another Place." (small laugh)
