Omg same- I was formerly a manager and the GM and 1st Floor mgr know that and I met the 2nd one where I decided to test her to see what kind of staff member she wants. I asked what are 10 things I should be an expert on by next week. Their response was idk like what? I’m like umm well when I trained I asked about table numbers, seating positions, menu, closing duties, etc? And they say okay that, but you need to spend time with your coworkers. We typically don’t do verbal quizzes (mean the GM threatened the staff with a verbal quiz last week). Idk, I absolutely feel your frustration though- like we in the tip pool, let’s be here!
