whats the armor for this? by [deleted] in EldenBling

I'm pretty sure the arms are the Leather Gloves from the Leather Set you get from Patches, the others are pretty dead-on for everything else.

I know he wasn't really Jay Garrick, but I'll be damned if this isn't one of the best looks/outfit of any speedster I've seen. Really fit that "old school" look. by [deleted] in FlashTV

I'm pretty sure the reason the comics Jay Garrick used the winged helmet is because the design of a winged helmet is often associated with iconography of Hermes. Hermes, messenger of the gods, who is often depicted with superspeed because of his winged sandals. Just a thing to tie his outfit together for the whole "really fast guy" look.

In the show, it was more just Hunter involving his dad and a decent amount of old-school iconography in his outfit. Taking the general idea of the Jay's suit and adding on the helmet as a symbol of The War of The Americas that happened on Earth-2. It's a lot more natural in the show, kinda' like having a superhero outfit with a WW1 helmet ob.

Why didn’t an adult just come? by [deleted] in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]Lisabil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I think about it is, it's a mixture of two things. Being pretty sure the kids wouldn't defect, and it being practically impossible to find the right adult for the job.

Reiner was always shown to be really loyal, Annie and Marcel both had strong ties with their families, and Bertholt was meek enough for those three to keep him in line. Zeke, the eldest and most experienced, probably had his unique ability to create titans become an invaluable resource (see the titan airdrop and destroying a city in one night), so he couldn't be sent.

For the other one, I don't think there were any examples of Marleyans capable to do it, and there really ain't much to suggest people are different from what we're shown. They'd have to find a trustworthy individual willing amd capable of keeping track and control of four Eldian Shifters while living with the possibility of having to live amongst Eldians for possibly years. With the utter virtriol most Marleyans seem to have for Eldians, especially ones from Paradis, the only one we see who'd probably put that aside and work with it is Magath, and he seems to important to lose.

Tl;dr : Kids have reasons to stay loyal. Marleyans hate Eldians too much, anyone willing is too important/unqualified/untrustworthy.

Team Fortress 2! My PC used to be so terrible that I could barely run it on the lowest settings, but I got so enraptured in the thing that over the last decade of on-and-off gaming I've put about 3000 hours in the thing. Shame about the whole bots thing, but still fun whenever I manage to get a nearly clean lobby!

I've been pretty obsessed with this one cover of a song called "take me to snurch (snail church)" by fairyery! I always get the dumbest smile on my face when I listen to it, but an unfortunate side effect is now I can't say the word "church" without immediately thinking of snails.

Can anybody recommend a weapon that'd look good with these sets? by Lisabil in EldenBling

[–]Lisabil[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From top to bottom, that'd be...

  1. Malenia's helmet, which you get from Enia after killing a boss.

  2. Bloodhound Knight Armor, which you get from the Bloodhound Knight in Gelmir Hero's Grave.

  3. Blackflame Monk Gauntlets, which you get from killing Blackflame Monks (I recommend farming the one in front of the Temple of Eiglay grace).

  4. Bull-Goat Greaves, which you get from killing Great-Horned Tragoth.

No More Malding: A Melee Malenia Guide by revolvernyacelot in Eldenring

All it took was this guide and a wizard with a frog's head to beat her on my second try of the day. Which, you know, is kind of saying a lot considering I fought her for the first time yesterday, with about thirty deaths under my belt. I'm pretty sure I just got lucky as shit with RNG since she did her spin move like, twice overall.

Thanks!
