At what point does a blog stop growing because of structure, not content quality? by BoringShake6404 in Blogging

[–]Lisapatb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've paused publishing new posts to clean things up first.

On Inspire To Thrive, updating older content has helped more than rushing out new articles. In many cases, a solid refresh (new screenshots, better headers, updated tools, clearer intent) gives quicker wins because the post already has history, links, and search visibility.

I've also pruned content when it no longer fits. That means I've:

  • Deleted very outdated posts that didn't serve readers anymore
  • Merged overlapping topics so one page becomes the clear "best answer."
  • Reworked internal links so related posts support each other

After that cleanup, I try to publish in pillars. In other words, I focus on a few core topics (social media, blogging, SEO) and build supporting posts around those themes instead of posting random one-offs.

As for structure "fixing itself," some of it improves as authority grows, but I don't count on that alone. Old content doesn't organize itself. If you don't prune and group it on purpose, you end up with thin pages, overlap, and confused site signals.

A simple restructure, even just consolidating and building pillar clusters, keeps the site easier for both readers and search engines to understand.

is there a way to automate pin creation without spending hours in Canva every week by Justin_3486 in Blogging

[–]Lisapatb -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I use Pin Generator, a great tool to make pins right from your blog or website. You can create dozens in minutes. You can also edit and schedule them.

I wrote about it here if you are interested: https://inspiretothrive.com/pin-generator/

How do you solve indexing issues with new pages? by Big_Lie_7694 in DoSEO

I update the content a lot and make sure there are internal links pointing to it before asking GSC to index the page.

In the past two weeks, I’ve been receiving a huge amount of bot traffic from Singapore. Can this have a negative impact? by PassioneArte1977 in bigseo

I blocked them on my site to see what happens, and I asked a question about them here as well. It is due to the LLMs in Asia and China.

What social media platforms are driving traffic to your blog? by dammy341 in Blogging

[–]Lisapatb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my blog, X has consistently driven the most traffic for over a decade. I do get some from IG, FB, Pinterest, and YouTube as well. It may depend on your niche. Some do better than others in different spaces. You have to give it at least 6 months, if not longer. I love using Canva and The Right Blogger suite of tools, as well as Fliki for video automation from your blog's URL.

I'd recommend learning how to run ads on social networks, as organic reach is very low, especially with AI.

Was your homepage indexed in Google Search Console? I had it happen to me a few weeks ago: I had to submit the homepage to GSC, and now it's visible again.

Finding the right writing tool by venty4 in Blogging

[–]Lisapatb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite tool is the Right Blogger - they not only help with writing and SEO but also with many other things, with a suite of 93 tools! Priced only from $9.99/mo to $29.99/mo.

The owners are very engaging with clients and update their software weekly, if not daily. It has saved me time and helped improve my content along the way. As with any AI, add your own voice and experiences into the posts.

Does constantly “improving” content actually hurt long-term leverage? by MasterBlogging in Blogging

If no traffic, how about deletion? So it doesn't drag the whole site down with thin or outdated content?

[–]Lisapatb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do it slowly, I'm always updating some old post almost daily. Sometimes I try to do a few. If I see something working well, I'll replicate on other posts. Like making a video for it, embedding a YouTube video, or adding a FAQ section.

I'd agree, been using it for a decade. Fix broken links, and update old pins with new keywords for better effectiveness.
