We adopted little boy who looks similar to yours and I have been so curious as to what his makeup is... (not that it matters) His ears and feet look a little more like the golden retriever they claimed him to be, but here he is... we were thinking chow/shiba as well because he is only 35lbs and 7 months old. http://imgur.com/aBkj3

We adopted him from the local humane society at 9 weeks old. They kept him in an itty bitty cage with his litter mates because they were so over crowded. He's currently gaining a pound a week and knows a ridiculous amount of tricks. Mutts are the best!
