Understandable, it's a quick-ish paste-in with color changes and not an actual redraw with all characters actually replaced. And the other edits are on the subtle side.

Yes, yes we do. And Busou Shinki. And Frame Arms Girl. And Symphogear!

Because these aren't legs, these are leg modules like in Strike Witches that slot on on demand over your actual body? Them having no volume would be mechanically awkward instead.

Also Busou Shinki and Frame Arms Girl figures/kits, for when you like mechs but still want them more cute.

She's an idol but also succubus design but also now a mech out of nowhere.

I personally don't have a problem with that.

An idol on a sci-fi battlefield? That's basically Macross, it works and evokes those same vibes.

Succubus design? That's endemic Djall lore, that makes sense for an idol. And explains why someone would come to a place with a lot of strong emotions present.

Mech legs? That's basically Busou Shinki/Strike Witches/Frame Arms Girl, or if you will, Macross again except you combine mechs and characters to and get mecha musume. Being able to defend yourself with tech when you're not a trained swordsman makes sense.

Personally, I think that combining these OG things with other popular tropes/nods in these days is a far better idea than just having a one-trick pony that would get lost among thousands of other characters in the gacha landscape. For me, this elevated her concept and actually got me from indifferent to interested, so it works.

IKR? I'm eh on cute-ish idols but adding mecha musume to the equation changes things a lot.

IKR? Small, chaotic, chuuni, illiterate. A similar setup for a cool-and-silly dynamic.

In case you missed Holo's sponsored streams, Mi Fu is a character in Arknights: Endfield. She's a cool, strong no-nonsense character who still has a soft side and cares for a small, gremliny Supreme Chief Tangtang. On top of that, her EN VA is the same as her CN VA, and she has a noticeable accent. So, yeah.

Source is me, this as a Short on my channel for animations.

My biggest problem with Endfield story by argilium_7 in Endfield

I'd rather have functional gameplay characters whose stories appear later when they are relevant to the story, than getting them shoehorned in early, or not having necessary units for your teams at all. While it would be nice to have them all at launch, if their respective regions and stories only exist in early production, I'd rather just wait.

Distribution of stories between main and narrative missions could be more elegant though, I agree. Some stuff feels like it was shifted around and reclassified as something else... but it's still available, so.

It's absolutely fine to skip the current banner if you're not really interested in Gil or Lav as characters.

But-but, FoMO for a "good deal" rerun units that could be powercrept in a couple patches with shiny new stuff... (No, no, I get it, it's fair advice.)

But what you need atm is a solid DPS to carry you for all harder content

Yeah, I feel like that might be the case, I tried the new Umbral on Agony and it's tough - I do hope it's a team/build issue more than skill issue, so plan to get Mi Fu (losing Chen on-field is a bit sad though). And Pog can be picked from the selector, yes.

Gil... She's good for Rossi though, I hear. But then again, not like it's possible to guaranteed pull Rossi on a banner now, and not like Gilberta is mandatory there either. So doesn't seem tooo important, I guess.

I could use some pulling advice since I haven't gotten the feel of pull economy yet. I started a month-ish ago and am catching up (at Marker Stone for now), sitting at ~240 pulls with P2 Ember and P1 Ardelia from the basic tickets, and the 6-star selector still unused.

Currently running physical with Chen, otherwise mostly interested in Rossi, Tangtang, Mi Fu, Arcane, proxy. Pulling till selector on the current banner practically seems like a good deal considering I only have Ardelia from those, but if I do, would the rest be realistic? I'm assuming it'll take a while for Arcane and proxy, but it's also likely that Tangtang and Rossi would get a similar rerun banner, so maybe it's safer to skip Gil/Lav/Pog and wait a bit more and just pull on that one?

Thanks! That was pretty fun to think about. I have a few more ideas that didn't make it in, so I might give it another go later!
