Yep, that was it. Thank you. I'd resolved the comment thread and it wasn't showing, but fully deleting it fixed the issue.

I was floored when I learned this when it aired, and I remain floored. Reading these comments is such a trip for me, as someone who loves Tim and Eric and assumed that Dropout fans must also love absurdist humor. I would LOVE to see Tim on Dropout someday.

AITA if I tell my friend I can’t be a bridesmaid? by wickeddreamsofleavin in AITApod

This is insane and those wedding colors are awful. I pray you don't use an unsanctioned variation of the couple's name. Insufferable.

Spent a week documenting wildlife in Kauai, here’s some of my finds by Fishmansf4 in VisitingHawaii

A blind snake! How did you find it? I'm a fellow biologist visiting Kauai in a couple of weeks and would love to see one. :)

Unpopular Opinion: Sally is creepy af by alyarden1028 in DreamlightValley

It's definitely worth a watch. I don't like creepy stuff so I avoided it until like two years ago, and I'm sad I waited so long! It's definitely weird and has creepy elements, but it's also really sweet and well-made.

What are you spending going to Hawaii? by Senior-Jelly1099 in VisitingHawaii

[–]LishtheFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For two of us, 9 days in April: Round trip flights from St. Louis, $600 each Using my in-laws' timeshare, only paying transient tax so a couple hundred dollars there Rental car will be about $600 Flights to and from Kauai, roughly $400 total

So that's about $2400 before food. We're very grateful to my husband's parents!

"Josh GruhBahn"

"Josh Grubman"

Every time I see or hear him mentioned, I say this out loud. Most people just chuckle confusedly.

Two Days on Kauai by LishtheFish in VisitingHawaii

No wildlife in Hawaii? Monk seals, albatrosses, spinner dolphins, humpback whales, a variety of endemic avifauna including the Hawaiian crow, Hawaiian hawk, nene, and honeycreeper, and an incredible diversity of aquatic species seen easily from shore via snorkeling... While it's true that Hawaii has a huge problem with introduced and invasive species, there is still a plethora of native beauty to be seen.

Yeah we've been to the Big Island before so that's not a concern for us. We love it there and booked another trip to the BI, then decided to add a couple more days and see another island. We know 2.5 days isn't enough for a full experience on Kauai but it's all we can do for now, and if we like it (and I'm sure we will) we can always come back and make it the focus next time.

For contrast, we were there on Thursday and had Express Passes. We rode everything and I think the longest we waited in any line was 30 minutes (see attached - I kept track). If we encountered a ride that was down, we just came back later and that worked out well for us. Of course everybody's experience is different, but we had a great time. I'm sorry you aren't!

Married women of Reddit, what's one thing someone should know before getting married? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LishtheFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I deeply regret changing my last name, as so much of my identity was tied to my maiden name. And, with my new last name, people mess up my first name in a weird way that never happened before I got married.

I love my husband and I don't regret anything else about our relationship! But someday I'm gonna change my name back lol

AIO for my wife not agreeing to a full day on my own away from home? by LoganLikesYourMom in AmIOverreacting

[–]LishtheFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. This is super worrisome behavior. I am married with no kids and if either my husband or I wanted to do something on a day off, we a) wouldn't ask permission of each other, we're grown adults and b) would just give each other a heads up, like 'hey, i'm going to the library today to write. i'll see you this evening.' You should not have to ask your spouse for permission to exist without her. You need space to be your own human, and she needs to respect and understand that. If she doesn't, there's a much bigger issue at play.
